"Sure. You have your phone with you?" He glanced over his shoulder as he asked.

"No, but my memory is quite good. Call the number, I'll remember it." She beamed with pride and Greg chuckled at her cheekiness. He called his digits and Valerie committed it to memory before they explored more topics.

When the pancakes were done, Greg slid a plate in front of Valerie, a doting smile on his lips, "Enjoy."

Valerie took a bite, the flavors exploding on her tongue. "Mmm," she moaned, her eyes closing in ecstasy.

Greg smiled, delighted that she found it to her liking. "Glad you like them," he said, his voice filled with satisfaction.

As they ate, Valerie couldn't help but steal glances at Greg, "This is one of the best pancakes I've eaten so far. I'm impressed."
