Saved a small fortune

Valerie woke up the next morning, the first thing she noticed was the cold space beside her, where Greg was supposed to be. She glanced around the room, he was nowhere in sight.

As her gaze drifted towards the window, the vibrant morning sunlight streaming through the curtain caught her attention, illuminating the room with a warm glow. "What time is it?" Valerie wondered, a hint of concern creeping into her voice. She anxiously hoped she hadn't overslept and risked being late for the interview. A dull pain still lingered. With a gentle grimace, she crawled out of bed, her movements cautious, aggravating her sore and tender stomach wasn't something she wanted to achieve.
