"A piece of cake."
Ma Huateng didn't hesitate to agree to Su Yan's request. After all, there was a real possibility that Su Yan could become one of Tencent's major shareholders in the future.
"Young Master Su, let's find a place to have a few drinks. We've really hit it off today!"
Su Yan naturally did not decline. Soon after, more of Ma Huateng's friends gathered to meet him.
Everyone wanted to befriend Su Yan. Winning the Olympic naming rights had cemented his influence, and there was no need to say more—people instinctively gravitated toward him.
The lavish dinner was an eye-opener for both Ye Manman and Song Youzhen. They marveled at the spectacle of it all, while Ma Huateng took the initiative to toast Su Yan.
"Young Master Su, let me offer you a toast."
"We must drink this together."
Ma Huateng stood, his demeanor suddenly resembling a young man just starting out in the world.
"Mr. Ma, please," Su Yan responded, accepting the toast with a calm nod.
After Ma Huateng, others followed suit.
"Master Su, I'm Zhang Shaoyun, head of Panpan Foods."
"Master Su, I'm..."
One after another, prominent figures toasted Su Yan, eager to leave an impression.
The entire scene left Ye Manman and Song Youzhen in a daze, their minds buzzing from the energy of the night. It wasn't until around eleven o'clock that the three returned to their hotel. Though Su Yan had drunk quite a bit, his body, enhanced beyond ordinary means, easily neutralized the effects of the alcohol.
Ye Manman and Song Youzhen, on the other hand, were visibly affected, their faces flushed and steps unsteady as they made their way back to their rooms.
Ye Manman collapsed onto her bed as soon as she entered. A vague thought gnawed at her—that she should go see Su Yan. Otherwise, she might miss an opportunity she wouldn't want to regret. But soon, in her drunken haze, she drifted off into a deep sleep, unable to recall anything.
On the other side, Song Youzhen wasn't so quick to rest. As she lay down, her mind started racing.
'Ye Manman, that sly fox...'
If she hadn't made her move first back in Okushima, everything would be different now. But from the looks of it, she's had too much to drink. 'Does that mean... my chance has finally come?'
Determined, she splashed her face with cold water, bringing herself to full alertness. Though her makeup had smudged slightly, her skin remained as delicate and fair as ever. Satisfied with her reflection, she slipped into her high heels and stepped out of the room.
Arriving at Su Yan's door, she knocked softly.
Before long, Su Yan's face appeared before her.
"Aunt Song, what brings you here so late?" Su Yan asked, stepping aside to invite her in. He closed the door behind her.
Of course, he knew what she was after. But because the woman standing before him was none other than Liu Hua's mother—his classmate's mother—he wanted her to make the first move. That would give him a different kind of satisfaction.
"Auntie just came to check on you," Song Youzhen said, her face growing warm with embarrassment.
What am I doing? she thought to herself. Seducing my son's classmate at the age of 42... how shameless!
"Auntie, your legs must be tired. Let me massage them for you."
Seeing Song Youzhen's shapely legs encased in sheer black stockings, Su Yan placed his hands gently on them and began to knead softly.
"Aunt Song, how does that feel?" he asked.
"Very comfortable... just the right amount of pressure," she murmured, feeling a rush of sensations she hadn't experienced in years.
"Aunt Song, can I kiss you?" Su Yan asked in a low voice.
"That wouldn't be right," she whispered, hesitating. "After all, I'm your classmate's mother."
"That just means we have a closer connection. It doesn't change anything else," Su Yan replied, his tone completely serious.
After a moment's pause, she gave in. "Okay... just a kiss."
Su Yan leaned in and kissed her softly on the cheek, then, feeling the tension between them dissolve, he wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her on the lips.
Song Youzhen closed her eyes.
"You bad boy..." she murmured, her resistance melting away.
What followed felt inevitable.
---
The next day, Su Yan left Yancheng, returning to Shanghai with Ye Manman and Song Youzhen. The tension between the two women was palpable, especially for Ye Manman, who had overheard some... noises in the night.
The former best friends didn't even bother with superficial politeness anymore, and Su Yan couldn't help but feel a bit helpless. Once, Ye Manman and Song Youzhen had been as close as sisters. Now, things had deteriorated beyond repair.
But there was little that could be done. After all, no one would willingly let their best friend become their love rival.
Once they landed, Su Yan made a call to the manager of Jiaduobao, instructing them to speed up production on all lines. At the same time, he began making arrangements for his new investment company.
"A proper company needs a proper office first," Su Yan mused. "I should choose a location in Lujiazui, Shanghai's central business district. Some newly built towers are still unoccupied. I can just rent an entire building."
Su Yan understood that the company's growth would be rapid, and a prime office location would be crucial.
"Call Aunt Liu Jie," Su Yan instructed. "It's time to fulfill this week's promises."
