chapter 39

Tranus guides Milo and Ruby to another memory where Milo was in a kitchen doing dishes as music played on his phone while he cleaned.

Muttering/singing along to the music everything suddenly falls silent as Milo knits his eyebrows and splashes the water only for it to freeze mid air like time was stopped.

"I assume you're hear about my message," young Milo says as he pulls his hands from the water and grabs paper towels drying them off before turning around to greet the god who was obviously there.

"Let me guess. You're Cronus or something like that?" young Milo says leaning on he sink.

"Hmmm and why would you assume that Mr Flynn?" The god ask as he ran his fingers through a long salt and pepper colored beard as he leaned on a walking stick.

"Gee I don't know perhaps it's because everyone is frozen in time? Or just maybe it was the water that didn't drop when I splashed it?" young Milo says with enough sarcasm even a deaf person would be able to tell it was sarcasm.

Instead of taking insult from the sarcasm the God merely laughs loudly leaning on his walking stick, "haha it's been a while since I met a mortal fearless as you Flynn. I have to ask though how did you defeat the gods that were sent to kill you. We literally sent a century in total. Yet you killed all of them and even were cruel enough to use the final one to send a message by carving it into not just his flesh but his very essence," the god states, "so until they regain enough power those words will remain on his body. So I have to ask. How did you manage to carve your message that deeply. How does a mortal like you possess the powers of a god and not self immolate?"

Young Milo looks at the god who was waiting for a response and seemed to pause and think deeply before going, "I don't know," with a shrug their palms facing upwards.
