Obscurium awakens... part 2

"This doesn't make sense... they should be the origin of this world... the pillars of this civilization. How could he turn against his principles??"

"Enough..." Falgnis reprimanded him in a deep voice, "... Enough with this blabbering! You don't deserve to hear the truth... grow stronger and face the cruel reality with your own hands!"

The secret behind Nekrium and his Immortal Army was still relatively obscure, but based on the creature's warning, Atlas chose to hold back.

The creature did not speak for a long time after their small discussion, and the young man did not dare disturb him.

Grarl.

"Boy... find a safe place after you go back and then carry that fellow to the Nihility Dimension... Only there will his mind be freed from the connection with that evil source and able to fight against the curse on equal terms. Remember... the Aether Primeval Stigma is bound to you in soul and body... so in the Nihility Dimension, you will be the undisputed ruler of that world with powers beyond your imagination. I have memories from my Ancestors with stories about Immortals trapped in there and devoured of their life force!"

"I see..." Atlas nodded.

Grarl...

"I warn you... If you fail to reach the continent, all of you will enter the Nihility Dimension and then return to my island through the orchid. You must not tempt fate too much, for the enemies lurking among these dark waters are too dangerous even for that old man."

Falgnis concluded his speech, and then he enveloped the young man's body with his golden flames.

"Damn... why hasn't he come back yet?"

Drunkum had spent the last few days wandering the ocean, bringing death and destruction to every being of darkness that dared to block his path.

He had literally given those souls, subjugated by the evil one, a path to the light and purified so many skeletons that the waters of Obscurium had become far more dangerous than before.

Hordes of evil spirits had left their beds of bones to hunt down the madman who was arrogantly thwarting their arduous work.

Those five days had made Obscurium, the Ocean of Fallen Legends, a living hell for all the valiant cultivators who were searching for Rose.

Swoosh...

"Damn wind..."

A powerful wave of air hit his small boat, but rather than let even a single drop of his nectar fall, he let it shake ardently.

The old drunkard was so engrossed in protecting his wine that he did not notice the arrival of the person he was waiting for.

"Drunkum... enough with this shit!"

As soon as he stepped onto the boat, the young man could not help but admonish the old drunkard, seeing him so focused on such a silly thing.

"Mhm?!" Drunkum looked up and opened his eyes wide in amazement, seeing the young man just a few steps away from him: "How... how the hell did you get here?"

"It's a long story, and this is not the right time or place to talk about it. Your reckless actions have awakened several monsters from all over this region. We need to get out of this place as quickly as possible." Atlas admonished the old man and then directed his gaze at Deepy, striking at her with his sharp tongue: "Deepy, stop gorging yourself like a pig and take us home!"

Although the young man's words were a bit harsh, the Sealis was an intelligent creature, and after seeing what her master had caused in these waters, she set off at full power after throwing the few remaining fish inside the boat with her nose.

"Boy... why are you in such a hurry? Oh... now I see... then you have found your beloved."

Seeing Rose bound on the young man's back, Drunkum immediately understood the reason for his actions.

"Yes..." Atlas glossed over the fact that he still called her his beloved and briefly explained what had happened on the island, clearly avoiding revealing what was best kept a secret.

At the end of the story, Drunkum seemed a bit skeptical: "So... you are telling me that... you have awakened a strange power, which allows you to create another dimension... and in that place I will be able to free myself from that curse much more easily... I feel a bit too absurd..."

Noticing his doubtful expression, Atlas tried to reassure him in every way: "Well... you thought of a similar possibility, too. We have already talked about that matter. How have you already forgotten it?"

Clearly, the old man remembered their previous discussion, but the situation was a bit too convenient and absurd to make him believe it entirely.

"Let's go back for now, and then we'll talk about it more calmly. After all, if that's a feasible possibility, then everyone from the village will benefit from it."

One way or another, Atlas was sure to convince him, so he did not worry much and started scanning the ocean with his magical eyes in search of the enemies that haunted those waters.

Wrapped in the power of the protective totem, Deepy towed them for days without stopping, but as agitated as Obscurium had become, they could not avoid all the dangers and inevitably found themselves in the midst of the enemy.

In fact, on the fourth day, they ran into a vast fleet of creepy floating Skulls.

"Damn you... look what the hell you've done... those damn things are everywhere!"

Gulp! Gulp!

"Calm down... they can't see us..."

"I know that... but it will end badly if we can't move even one step."

They were still far from the Black-Clawed Crab Village, and the waters were infested with floating bone vessels, making their return an arduous task.

Gulp! Gulp!

"I must admit that the situation is not very appealing... but at least we are safe..."

Not only did the young man have to keep that old fool from making a further mess, but he also had to take care of Rose, who was still immersed in the dreamland.

It was no problem to take care of the young one. In fact, it was a pleasure to repay the foolish stubbornness of that crazy girl in that way, but surrounded by that stormy ocean, the young man's mind and body had begun to falter.

"We're dealing with an insidious and treacherous fellow... so we can't rely completely on trivial Chaos Runes!"

 Gulp! Gulp!

"You have a point... but I don't think I've caused so much havoc to alert all those bastards..."
