Somewhere in the World of Oblivion...
"Umbriel... Have you found out everything about him?"
Inside a majestic hall, only one person was present. No one else was there. But as soon as those words echoed in the hall, a figure appeared from the shadows.
"My Lord... it was a bit difficult, and we even lost track of some of our spies, but in the end, we found everything about him... it's all here..."
As soon as the papers appeared in the City Lord's hand, Umbriel was already gone, as if his figure had blended in one of the several dark corners of the hall.
"Hmm... if our speculations are true, then it was worthy... What about the ancient site? How did the excavation work proceed? Kason, have you received the last reports?"
Another figure emerged from the shadow and responded: "My Lord... all proceed according to our plans. We will find out what is hiding in that place in a couple of days."
"Mmm... don't let anyone find out about this. Otherwise, we are dead for sure."
After a brief dialogue with all his loyal shadow warriors, the city Lord opened the notebook, curious about the information inside.
It took him a while to read through all the details, and in the end, he looked back at the location where Umbriel was hiding.
"Umbriel... what the hell is this?"
"My Lord... those are all valid information. I checked them personally. There is no mistake..."
"Mmm..." The city Lord began walking in a circle while trying to recover from the shock.
"So, our first discovery was indeed the truth... He is truly extraordinary... Luckily, we protected Oakur with your help. Otherwise, we would have missed an incredible opportunity. You did a tremendous accomplishment."
"Thank you, my lord..."
After the small exchange, the hall was silent once again. The only noise was the mumbling sound from the City Lord's mouth.
"Call my daughter... We must discuss something..."
No one replied, but he knew well that someone was already committing his order.

It was a cloudy night, and almost anyone in the city slept peacefully.
Everyone except the city Lord because he received a report about his daughter's arrival and patiently waited for her.
Seeing the graceful young woman with long blond hair and beautiful golden irises, the city lord was suddenly happy: "My dear daughter, how were your last months in the Sect? Did your master treat you well?"
The graceful young woman responded with an enchanting smile to his question: "All well, father. Master, treat me better than you could imagine. She gave me so many precious resources that my power almost reached the Epoch Descendant Ruler Realm. My cultivation speed is breakneck, but don't worry, no one other than us knew about it."
The city Lord had discovered her current Realm long ago, which was one of the reasons he was so happy: "Truly a genius... but remember my words... they are still looking for an opportunity to get rid of us. So don't show off your achievements too much. Otherwise, not even your father can save you..."
"I understand... So why did you call me here? Will you give me a reward for my achievement, or is there something else?"
"Well..." the city lord took some time before replying as if searching for the correct words: "... indeed, I have a gift for you."
"Really, and what is it?"
The young woman had already reached his side and looked at him with a strange glint.
"Well... I found you a good... fiancé!!"
The man retreated a bit after revealing the incredible gift.
"Maybe I heard it wrong... What did you say?"
She clearly heard it well but couldn't believe his world, so she stepped forward with a questioning gaze.
"I said that I found you a fiancé..." he replied in the same way, not the least intimidated by her daughter's devilish smirk.
There was a moment of silence until the young woman spoke: "I don't give a shit about this so-called fiancé. Well... since childhood, I have always followed your command because of our family's difficulties, but I'm no longer a child... So, I will never marry someone I don't even know. You can't force me to do something like this. This is the only precious thing left in my life... and I will fight to the death anyone who would dare to say otherwise!"
Those words came directly from her heart. His father could see clearly her determination screaming from those stunning golden irises.
A brutal but silent battle took place in that majestic hall, where principle and precious treasures were the prized rewards.
One was the last shred of freedom, and the other was one of the most recondite dreams a man could ever imagine.
Ambition and freedom were fighting against each other, but who between the two could release the more powerful feelings?
Who knew who was the more stubborn between the two?
The two kept looking at each other for a long time.
No one else was in the room, so nobody disturbed the deadly silence floating in the air, ready to strike at the slight movement.
Ding! Ding!
Unexpectedly, a strange noise came from the outside.
Maybe one of the servants made another mistake, or perhaps one of the guards' heavy hands collided with something metal...
Who knows what truly happened?
Actually, the two people in the hall didn't care about the origin of the noise. They only thanked that the situation had changed and that no one of them had lost that battle...
"So..."
"Listen..."
The duo spoke at the same time, and the smell of smoke coming from the fire started to reappear.
Fortunately, the man didn't let it pass this time and continued: "My dear... did I ever let you down?"
"No... But..."
The young woman had a lot to say, but he interrupted her: "... Did I ever force you to do something against your true will or anything that could harm your happiness?"
"Mmm..."
This time, the woman thought for a while before answering: "No, father... Even if I followed your order each time, I knew they were for my good... So, even if sometimes they were not what I wanted, you never forced me to do anything against my will... Still, I ca..."
"Then let's make a deal..." The father interrupted her again, surprising her with a shocking response: "... I will not force you to do something like this, but at least I hope you can meet him. I will leave everything to you, and if something truly happens between you two, we will consider it fate's will. What do you think?"
