"Friend."
Facing the floor-to-ceiling windows, Yuri X remained composed as he sensed the approach of a Primarch behind him. Without turning, he addressed Alpharius:
"May I ask where you come from? What is your objective? Or perhaps... are you merely aiming to defeat us and become Earth's new overlords?"
Though Yuri X appeared to be negotiating, his eyes glowed faintly blue, revealing his intent to stall for time and unleash a psychic blast powerful enough to eliminate Alpharius and perhaps demolish the entire building.
However, before Yuri X could execute his plan, a massive hand gripped his bald head.
Fingers closed tightly, applying just enough pressure to convey a deadly promise.
Yuri X could feel it with terrifying clarity—if those fingers squeezed any harder, his skull would shatter like an eggshell.
The intense pain and pressure completely disrupted his concentration, making it impossible to release the psychic attack he had been preparing.
At this moment, Alpharius adjusted his grip, forcing Yuri X to meet the cold, unyielding gaze of his visor.
Gone was Yuri X's calm demeanor. The blue glow in his eyes faded, replaced by bloodshot whites. His face flushed red as veins bulged from his forehead.
Desperately clawing at Alpharius' fingers, Yuri X struggled to free himself while trying to alleviate the crushing force on his neck.
"Who... who are you?!"
For Yuri X, humiliation turned to uncontainable rage.
Alpharius, however, remained silent. With his free hand, he retrieved a large injector from a metallic case at his waist.
Under Yuri X's horrified gaze, the needle was plunged into the inner corner of his left eye.
"Ahh! Aaaahh—!!"
The excruciating pain elicited screams from Yuri X, a clone of Yuri himself who typically enjoyed high degrees of autonomy unless it conflicted with his master's interests.
In his role overseeing Cairo, Yuri X had conducted inhumane experiments on local residents to advance Yuri Empire's biotechnological capabilities.
Yet he had never imagined becoming the subject of such torment himself.
Worse still, Alpharius' iron grip prevented Yuri X from unleashing a psychic explosion to end his own suffering.
Fortunately for him, Alpharius had no intention of prolonging the torture. Once the injector emptied its contents into Yuri X's body, Alpharius released his grip, letting his captive collapse onto the dark purple carpet.
The administered serum rendered Yuri X unconscious within moments, nullifying his ability to use psychic powers or perceive the external world.
Satisfied, Alpharius strode toward the window, gazing at the gradually quieting battlefield below.
Zhoom~!
Boom—!
Brilliant blue electromagnetic railgun blasts struck the outskirts of Cairo, targeting key gene mutators as the fleet in orbit received precise coordinates. These strikes eliminated remaining threats to ground forces.
This marked the near-completion of the battle for Cairo, a conflict destined to be one-sided.
Though the Red Alert 2 universe boasted its share of black technology—such as psychic amplifiers, control towers, and mutation devices—it was no match for the sheer scale of the Human Empire.
Even without Alpharius, Omegon, and the Alpha youth contingent, the Empire could have easily subjugated this universe.
Advanced fleets equipped with optical camouflage and capable of orbital bombardments at 0.2% of the speed of light rendered resistance futile.
The Empire's Intelligence Division had already eliminated potential obstacles, ensuring rapid integration of the Red Alert 2 universe.
Alpharius' personal mission to capture Yuri X stemmed from a specific request by the Biotech Division operating in the "Trenches Crusade" (Trench 13) universe. The division required a fresh supply of psychic-capable D-Class personnel for experimentation.
Psychic-capable individuals within the Empire were highly valued and trained under the Emperor himself, often sent to the lunar base for advanced instruction alongside the Grey Knights. These individuals were sanctified by the Emperor to protect against Warp corruption, making them too precious to be used as expendable experimental subjects.
However, Yuri's forces, including his soldiers, clones, and especially Yuri X, provided ideal materials.
Yuri's cloning facilities could produce copies with psychic abilities, unlike Atlas clones, which lacked souls despite advanced consciousness replication.
Thus, Alpharius and Omegon had a vested interest in capturing Yuri alive. If Yuri's cloning technology could be adapted, the Empire could drastically reduce expenditures on D-Class containment facilities, instead using mass-produced Yuri clones as experimental fodder.
After a brief pause, Alpharius activated his communicator:
"Major Price, hostile units and facilities that pose a threat have been neutralized. The recon teams and auxiliary forces can now move in. Also, the large number of local residents requires Engineering Division intervention to stabilize the situation in Cairo as quickly as possible."
"Understood," came Price's curt reply.
Shortly thereafter, Pelican, Seagull, and Luna-class transports escorted by Vulture gunships descended on Cairo. Recon units and auxiliary forces began securing liberated neighborhoods, while engineers arrived to commence reconstruction.
In no time, Cairo would be transformed into a city befitting the Empire.
---
Alpharius carried the unconscious Yuri X out of the Capitol Building to the garden plaza, where Omegon awaited.
He casually tossed Yuri X onto the lawn. Clone soldiers quickly encased the captive in a containment pod and loaded him onto a Blackhawk assault craft for transport to a forward base.
The twin Primarchs exchanged a silent glance through their helmets, their unspoken understanding clear.
"Hey! Where are you oversized guys from?!"
The sharp voice echoed across the plaza.
Tanya Adams, accompanied by a few resistance fighters armed with outdated machine guns, approached the Primarchs.
Before they could get too close, several Alpha youths deactivated their optical camouflage, leveling .75-caliber weapons at Tanya's group.
Startled but undeterred, Tanya's team refrained from any confrontational moves.
A team leader from the Alpha youths, speaking in a low tone, warned:
"Mind your words, Captain Adams. You are addressing Imperial Primarchs. Show respect."
The leader's annoyance was evident; he clearly disliked Tanya's "oversized guys" comment, especially directed at their Primarchs.
Surprised that they knew her name, Tanya hesitated.
"There's no need for harshness," Alpharius and Omegon simultaneously raised a hand, signaling their forces to stand down.
The Alphas parted, allowing Tanya and her team to approach.
Facing the towering Primarchs, Tanya's soldiers struggled to contain their fear, their breaths quickening involuntarily.
Though Yuri's Brutes were also massive, they lacked the overwhelming aura of these giants. Only Tanya's presence kept her troops steady.
Tanya, unfazed, scrutinized Alpharius and Omegon with curiosity, seemingly trying to guess their true appearances.
She broke the silence:
"I'm Tanya Adams, former Allied Special Operations Command. I currently lead remnants of the special forces within the Second Resistance Division, a coalition of Allied and Soviet survivors operating in Egypt to liberate Cairo from Yuri's control.
Who are you?"
"Alpharius and Omegon, Primarchs of the Alpha Legion of the Human Empire," they replied in unison, extending a hand in greeting.
"Uh..."
Tanya, momentarily stunned, shook their hands awkwardly.
Afterward, she asked, puzzled:
"The Human Empire?"
Alpharius chuckled. "Captain Adams, you'll have plenty of time to understand the Empire soon enough.
Before long, we may even fight side by side. You might even join the Alpha Legion."
"Join you?" Tanya was baffled.

By early October, the Red Alert 2 universe was well on its way to complete integration under the Human Empire. Regions across Africa, South America, and Europe had been liberated, leaving Yuri's forces significantly weakened.
Meanwhile, in the Trench 13 universe, preparations were underway for a full-scale assault on the forces of Hell.
However, before that could occur, a small, sealed trial arena in the Biotech Division's underground labs hosted an ominous experiment...
---
Within the dimly lit arena, over a dozen D-Class personnel awoke in confusion. Each wore orange jumpsuits and bore the scars of prior experiments.
Surrounding them, hidden in the shadows, lurked their next trial: Facehuggers and Alien Warriors poised to attack.
