After a fierce battle that went to the third round, Masaki emerged victorious. It was an unexpected result, as many had predicted Masaki would lose since the match was under Muay Thai rules. Masaki had come out with his specialty short upper combination honed even more sharply. He tormented Buakaw with it for three rounds.

As soon as the match ended, they forgot they were rivals and immediately shook hands and hugged. Then Buakaw quickly lifted Masaki up.
