CHAPTER 4 (THE FUTURE: John Consulted The Devil )

At Bricks Mansion,

John is seated absent minded on one of the chairs in the living room. David steps in and See's John lost deeply in thoughts. He gently taps John to bring him out of his absent mindedness and enquires what he is thinking. But John replied "This is the third month, and I have not been able to convince any of my clients to pay me. Neither have I said David, but am not worried because I know when the time comes, clients will come from left and right and will all start paying me. I need to start making and spending money like internet gangsters said John, but we have been told that it usually takes consistent chatting with our clients except if you want to do internet scamming pro. what do you mean said John. Don't tell me you don't know what internet scamming pro is? David replied. Stop being childish if I had known wouldn't I had join? Said John.Well said David it involves the use of diabolic powers from the devil to hypnotize your client to send some cash. So you knew all these yet you allowed us to waste the past months of our lives struggling to get our clients to pay isn't that so selfish John said. Never will I visit any shrine said David but what is wrong by just leaving your laptop there and after some days taking it back John replied. David said "even if you didn't use of your family members for sacrifice, don't you know that any thing that has to do with the devil always has a negative effect" well if it gets my clients to pay me I must visit any shrine John said. so am going to the village tomorrow to visit the unshakable baba ( a native doctor) John said. Well I trust the boss he wouldn't let you go anywhere David said, and you think that am so dum to tell him John said. Whatever your plans count me out pls David said, look at you bad person saying I should count you out of my plans as if I added you to my plans, don't you know that me adding you is like giving a pot of gold to the pastor's John said and they both laughed but John insistead that the discussion should remain within both of them.

Few days later....

John and the boys were all sited in the living room all surfing the internet when victor suddenly said "John what's up with bthe client that you sent your account number to few hours ago? hasn't he paid yet?

John replied; the last time I spoke with him he said he was on hi way to the bank to make the payments. Wow!! The boss replied in no distant time you would get your first pay and we can see your already beaming with excitement. Suddenly a message of a bank payment pop up on the screen of John's laptop and every one shouted as they quick scanned the message. What did the message say said the boss it is a payment receipt of five thousand dollars. Victor immediately leaped form his seat and hugs John with a warm congratulations and said finally you have broken the yoke by yourself and everyone screams.This calls for celebration said the boss and check the time on his phone is already too late for us to leave the house so get some champagne from the fridge victor let's have some fun said the boss.

Ten days later...

Victor is holding a bottle of champagne and dancing to the song playing on both sound system, why John and the boss are seated on adjacent sofas loaded in front of them wines, chicken wings and breast and other expensive foods. John said to the boss "when did the lady drawing the building plan said it would be ready? The boss replied she promised to bring at least five different designs for you to choose this evening. So the project can commence this week John said, that depends on your arrangement with the engineers said the boss. John said my mom had suffered a lot it's time for her to enjoy herself, I just want to start and complete the building as soon as possible, so that I can feel relax and look for a good house within the estate to buy for myself. That's money talking said the boss( hails John the latest millionaire).

My father literally abandoned us, leaving all the responsibility of both mom and dad to her alone said John. Alex steps in with several plates of rice and chicken band also wraps of barbecue fish which he was sent to buy from and eatery nearby, he adjust the bottle of champagne and creates space and places the plate of rice on the table. He takes a bottle of champagne pops it up and Join John and victor as they danced to the song playing,bthe boss Unwrapsbone of the barbecue fish and started eating. Suddenly John phone rang and he signals victor to lower the sound system and he answered " hello, yes it is John (listen for a moment) I didn't get you clearly can you pls repeat what you said as he put his phone on the speaker

Caller; I said am calling you from WHO, with respect to the interview you attended about some months ago, I am pleased to inform you that you have been offered employment, so kindly come and collect your employment letter and resume duty immediately once again congratulations. Okay John replied thank you for your call but am no longer interested, I now have a better job now cut's the call and said useless people, interview that I attended six months ago it's now they are calling me I don't blame them if I had waited wouldn't I have died of hunger?

Pls put on the music said John and let the fun continue as he takes a barbecue and bits it and also grabs a bottle of coca-cola digest and he begins to dance.
