Stepping into the lion's den (2)

Indisthird person's POV

It was 6:47 PM when Sarah finally closed her notebook and sighed.

"That is enough for today. Remember, tomorrow we will go through the contact database and communications protocols." Sarah announced, her fingers professionally organizing the stack of papers on her desk.

Rose nodded, fighting back a yawn. Her mind felt like it had been stuffed with cotton after hours of absorbing countless procedures, names, and protocols.

"I will be ready." She replied, even though she wasn't sure she would be. She had no idea this was how the whole thing would be turning out.

She had never imagined herself working in a company as a clerk not to talk of being the personal assistant to a billionaire.

Sarah hesitated for a moment before giving her an appraising look.

"You handled today better than I expected. Most don't make it past lunch without having a minor breakdown." She admitted, a hint of reluctant respect in her voice.
