Trent approached a Substore affixed to the base of an ice cliff, while listening to the now fading frustrated rants of the squad he had just wiped. They were complaining that the game had lagged and disconnected, causing them to reappear in the lobby before they had even landed.
**Welcome, Nightingale**
The Substore greeted him promptly after he had entered his ID.
Trent studied the pentagonal-shaped machine with a jet-black surface and a green screen interface displaying lines of text and symbols. He had figured this was precisely the best way a Substore should look like when he was designing the game's details.
After the machine displayed his infinite Paxcoin and Neoncredits balance, Trent went ahead to purchase needes that would even make his experience better as Claw, once again left his shoulder for an aerial survey.
Trent took his time browsing, his body impatient to leap back into action as kill scores flashed across his hollow watch. Someone else had just achieved a Double Kill.
**Do You Want To Spend 100,000 NC on...**
**Hovercraft**
**30 Health Packs**
**Night Vision Perk**
**Heavy ammo**
**Sniper ammo**
**++Hipfire**
**++50Whizz gear**
**Frag**...and so on..
Trent unhesitatingly selected [YES], and all the shopped items promptly downloaded into his hollow watch, ready for him to swipe and select as needed.
He quickly deployed all perks and reloaded his weapons, stocking up on the remaining ammo and destructive items. He swiped to the hovercraft vehicle and grabbed the red hologram. As he held it, the vehicle seemed to be transitioning into reality as Trent threw it across the open icy ground, letting it unfold itself without physical restrictions.
The Hovercraft swiftly transformed with a whirring sound, awaiting its pilot, matching colours with Trent's outfit.
Trent proudly hopped onto it and revved its red futuristic engine. He received a beeping sound from Claw, who was serving as a UAV due to its upgrade. Trent glanced at the number of gamers still in the Battle Royale and, to his surprise, it was down to 150 players already.
He sighed and drove the vehicle toward where Claw was alerting him, leaving a trail of red ionized particles behind the hovercraft's engine.
Trent arrived at a hill, undeployed the hovercraft, and deployed the Hawkeye67 Blaster, letting it materialize along his black fabric arms. The sound of pulsing beams filled the air and Trent couldn't believe he had engaged a full warfront.
'This is what I'm talking about!' Trent exclaimed, spotting seven players jumping, sliding, and shooting at each other in the open field of ice with scarce, glimmering buildings. Just as he was about to shoot the first one who had unluckily stayed put as a target for someone else, the sound of a chopper emerged from behind him. Trent quickly deployed his Camouflage Perk.
'Another squad? Really, nice! Fools to use such a loud vehicle.' He motioned for his cybernetic bird, while his scope locked onto the swaying cockpit of the chopper that had just flown over him without suspecting a thing.
Claw, understanding the command, glided quickly towards the spinning green blades of the chopper and released little but dangerous missiles from its wings, destroying the engine in one go.
'Good boy!' Trent exclaimed as his scope was set right on the now panicking head of the pilot gamer.
[Headshot!]
The pilot immediately transformed into a green box. Trent could tell he had some armour, but a single headshot from a buffed Hawkeye67 Blaster, wielded by a heavily perked gamer, would immediately dissipate all armour one had.
His teammates must have sensed the danger of their tumbling chopper and they all dived out. However, Trent did the opposite—he ejected his wingsuit and flew up to the chopper, entering the cockpit, and shamelessly swept the loot.
He quickly geared the chopper with the Whizz Gear he had purchased earlier, bringing its HP to an acceptable 50% as he took temporary control of its now stable controls. However, he left it and deployed his sniper blaster once again, aimed at the backs of the three gamers that were diving down.
[Double Kill!]
[Triple Kill!]
[Quaaadruuuple Kill!]

With the height advantage he needed, Trent dived down with his wingsuit because the other gamers below had started shooting at the chopper.
"That's a fuckin' cheat!"
"One shot kill?! How?!"
"Nah, I'm done with this shite."
"I told you guys he had a sniper blaster."
Trent used the complaints of the squad he had just wiped as background sounds as he landed unharmed, his wingsuit retracting. He quickly dived to the side of a building and deployed his lightsaber, enthusiasm building up as he aimed to execute the camping gamer he had spotted earlier.
'There you are.' Trent walked almost briskly, his footsteps silent, a testament to his Stealth Pack, eyes set on the camper who was behind a purple bush, firing at the other squad.
The red glow of his lightsaber reflected on the back of the measly Common skin the gamer had on.
[Execute?]
[YES] OR [NO]
'Yes. I didn't design Paradox Unbound for campers.'
Trent's body quickly downloaded the information of the execution skill that came with the Crimson Knight skin. His body was so tensed with happiness as he couldn't wait to speak what he programmed the Crimson Knight to say whenever an execution was implemented.
Trent thrust his boots at the camper's back, and the gamer quickly lost balance and fell on all fours. There, Trent positioned himself and his red lightsaber. "You died to live, so you could live to die," Trent blurted out with exhilaration as he swung down the glow of the lightsaber, slicing the head of the gamer into bits of shimmering holograms that later transformed into a loot box.
[Exeeeeecution! Deadly!]
