Their friends were sprinting towards Padilla while Tail struggled to keep up with their long strides. It was challenging, but not impossible. His injuries were slowing him down, but with a lot of effort, he finally managed to catch up to his friends. They were standing right in front of Padilla, which, even now, looked exactly the same as it had in the present time. The trio carefully observed the backyard of the royal house, their feet tingling with nervousness, fearing that Lily might spot them at any moment.

“Let’s go through the back door! She’s probably waiting right behind the front door,”

Light said to his friends as he cautiously led the way, making sure not to draw Lily’s attention. The plan seemed straightforward enough, yet the tension in the air was palpable.
