Hyuuga, the Ghost Town Part 4

My heart stops. Vectra’s horse, falling to the ground, felt like a message. And the sword, the messenger.

At that moment, I understand perfectly what he wanted. The horses were already frightened by the blood on our bodies, but now it was different. They hear the sound of another horse neighing in pain, and they all start to pick up speed. They are scared.

That was his plan: either they all die, or only one dies. Vectra wouldn’t be able to keep up with us; the damn sword struck the horse’s leg, and it fell to the ground along with Vectra.

I look back and see my brother fall to the ground and hit his head on a rock that was right below, the one who has been with me through all my adventures, the one who has been with me every second of my life. He will die if I do nothing.

My eyes meet Lawrie and Larry, whose faces are completely terrified by what they have just witnessed and, even more so, by what I am about to do now.
