Chapter 14

Cassandra pulled away as though his lips had become hot iron. She looked to her side and widened her eyes when she saw lady Milana.

"Such PDA is not allowed in here, youngsters." If Lady Milana knew that was Cassandra, she tried not to show it. The lady's face had a tint of red on her cheeks and it's obvious she was embarrassed.

Cassandra's eyes traveled round the restaurant but no one really looked their way, she breathed a sign of relief. Her hands were still on Elijah's shoulder while his were on her waist.

Elijah left her waist and held her hand, leading them into the elevator and out of the restaurant. "I'm sorry." He said when they had entered inside the car. The kiss had rocked his mind in ways he didn't expect but accepted. It was then that Elijah knew he really liked the girl. He hardly kissed girls, even though he had sex with a few. A kiss was never part of the deal. Though he couldn't see colours, her lips had looked so soft and he knew under his colour blindness, she had cherry pink lips. Standing that close to her, inhaling her scent, drove him to the corner and he didn't know when he had bent his head to kiss her. He got himself immediately after but the way she pulled him back to the kiss made him know that she also wanted him as much as he wanted her. "I'll talk to Zayn for you. You don't need to come here again, I'd help with whatever you may need." He said with husky voice and started the car.

"Thank you." Cassandra didn't doubt his words. He had already paid her dorm fee even before she got the job. He had paid it when they weren't even friends. He had told her not to pity him and order whatever she liked. He had bought her tons of dresses that even if she worked three places, she wouldn't even be able to get such amount in two months. But another part of her made her think reasonably, could she really live by his money? "Remember, it's your words not mine." She turned to face him, seeing him chuckle at her words.

"Noted, darling."

Sunday came quickly as Cassandra had wished for it. Cassandra had packed into her hostel. She established a close friendship with her roommate, Nora. Nora was a nice girl.

"The dress is so beautiful. Your body shape is crazy." Nora complimented Cassandra who stood before the vanity mirror.

Cassandra was clad in a long-sleeved black body-con dress that hugged her body down to her ankles. Her wrists were adorned in wristwatch and black bohemian bracelets. She put on a moderate silver sandal heel while she held her glittery silver purse in her left hand close to her side. "It's not too much, is it?" She nervously chuckled as she glanced at Nora who was seated on her bed eating chips.

"At all." The girl said with a thumb up. Nora had styled Cassandra's hair. She had left her shoulder-length hair free, straightening it with hot comb, Cassandra looked absolutely gorgeous without a single makeup on her face.

"Thank you." Cassandra whispered. She sat on her bed and awaited Elijah's call. She looked at the time and it was twenty minutes to eight in the evening.

"He's going to be so mesmerized." Nora with her black hair and brown eyes didn't take her eyes off her roommate.

Cassandra laughed. They talked a few other randoms before Elijah's call came. It triggered her fight or flight and she felt her heart skip beats. "Hey..." She said when the call connected.

"I'm here, Cassandra." Cassandra stood up from her bed. She didn't end the call and waved Nora, goodbye. She entered inside the elevator that led to the last floor. She catwalked as she came out. A few lecherous gazes and admirable ones all on her. Cassandra quickly made it out of the lobby and outside. She only saw one black car and guessed who it was. She didn't know the brand. "Hi, evening." She greeted with a smile as she sat and stared at him. Her breath caught in her throat as she admired him.

He wore a golden-black designer loose fitting button up shirt and pants to match. He always wore matching clothes. His hair, unlike the usual ruffles, was now gelled back and it even shined a brighter shade of red. He adorned his ears with pretty little diamond studs and on his neck was a silver chain that looked so tiny yet so expensive. He leisurely sat there on his driver's seat as he stared at her like he wanted to gobble her up, with his legs open.

Elijah's ocean eyes held something so dark and indecipherable as he stared at the girl. Though in shades of gray, he could see how beautiful she was. He hadn't had time to admire her as she entered the car immediately and he hadn't seen her come. The gown which he thought was black hugged her curves so perfectly he wanted to hide her from the world. Her hair had straightened unlike the wolf cut she always had it in or the messy bun. Her ears were adorned with round earrings, he couldn't make out the colour, and so was her neck. His eyes traveled down to her full breasts. Not even a single cleavage could be seen out of the dress and he loved her for her classiness.

"You're stunning, Cass." He broke the silence and saw her face tint. He loved when she blushed but everything would've been better if he had his sight normal.

It had been eighteen years since Elijah had developed achromatopsia. Only Jaden knew about the man's total colour blindness and his availability to only see colours in gray. Surgery was there but the risk was that he could loose his sight forever. Seeing only gray was better than not seeing at all. He might aswell just die. Elijah never told his father, nor did any of his siblings know. Not even his blood brother knew about it. He had kept it a secret and that secret he wasn't ready to let out.
