The journey to the Yamaguchi-Ken prefecture was long and arduous, stretching across forty-five days. As the group traversed vast landscapes of forests, rivers, and mountain ranges, Joseph’s enthusiasm remained unwavering. His recounting of his victory over the demi gorgon filled the quiet moments of the trek with vivid imagery.
He spoke animatedly about the demi gorgon’s final, desperate threat to Obihiro town.
"Can you imagine? The demi gorgon vowed to teleport the entire town to the sun, to burn alive in the infernal blaze, or to the moon, to suffocate and die in the cold void. Or perhaps to a desolate wasteland, where survival wouldn’t last a second. But, well—that’s all behind us now. He's gone for good," Joseph concluded with a grin.
As he recalled the fight, his tone softened, and his grin faded slightly.
“Yoshi, Lyra,” he called to them, catching their attention. “There’s something I saw during my battle—something about the kingdom I think you’d want to know.”
