Chapter twelve:Sudden torture

Wei guang got prepared and walked outside the house. Nina gazed at the full moon and smiled but soon it dropped cause the moon at full was enigmatic and odd. It was beautiful but captivating almost as though calling to torture those beneath it.

Wei Guang stared at Nina's face and realized the change in mood.

"What's wrong? I thought you loved the full moon."

" i do".

" But ?"

" But nowadays i have been feeling odd about it and i started getting weird vibes from it. It's like everything terrible only happens at a full moon".

" Nonsense ,kiddo,you must be overthinking like you always do. You haven't had proper sleep in a while now,so your brain ain't functioning well. Are you sure you didn't pick up your chicken brain instead?"

" Hey!" Nina growled but couldn't help but smile.

"What? Just saying. In fact lemme check"

He faked open her head and pretended to be looking inside.

" Yeap. Definetely the chicken brain!" He proudly announced and closed her head. She hit his arm hard but then started laughing at his stupid attempt to make her laugh but nevertheless ,she laughed.

Wei Guang hissed at the pain she caused but hearing Nina laugh so hard after such a long time,he smiled at himself,proud that he managed to get her to smile.

Nina was finally at home,nestled on her bed already dozing off. Wei guang drove her back but didn't exactly reach her home cause he didn't want her to get in trouble as of now. From a distance ,she waved at him and opened the gate cause the keys where right where she left them. Those guards are dumb.

She did as Wei guang told her to do. The moment she got home she got her diary and before she could fall asleep. She reminded and prepared herself to talk to her dad.

In the morning , Nina was woken up by a knock at her bedroom. She streched herself and got out of bed to answer the door. When she opened it,she was met by the unpleasant expression of her father with hands hid behind his body.

" Come with me to my study room".

Nina was stunned by her fathers behavior but she didn't waste no time to follow him. When they got into Mr Zhang's study room,he sat by his table and Nina stood silently ,curious about what it is he wanted to talk to her about.

" Nina,where were you last night?"

Taken aback,she stuttered, " W- what , what do you mean? I didn't go anywhere last night. I was in my room the whole time.... I -"

" Enough!" Mr Zhang's voice stuttled Nina and she shrunk because of the daggers he was throwing at her through his eyes."

" Nina ,where were you last night?"

"I..." She gulped. " I went to see somebody"

"And who's that?" He asked as he got up from his seat. Nina stumbled back and quikly replied. " I was seeing ... a friend . Wei Guang. Sir!"

" Then why did you lie?"

" I-I ..... Well let's say, i was scared of what you'd say regarding that".

"Didn't i tell you to not ever see that boy again"

"Why not?".

"Don't question my commands young lady"

"Father ,i apologise but we didn't do anything. We just talked" Nina thought that what her father was worried about was them doing something they weren't ready for.

If only she knew there's more to the story than that.

"SILENCE!!" He walked towards nina and slapped her right across the face . The impact on her body caused her to move back and stumble on her own feet causing her to fall on the floor. She touched her now swollen cheeks and tearfully looked at her father . Shock filled her whole face.

Mr Zhang walked to her side and grabbed her neck ,squeezing it tight. She held his hand to help release them from her neck but he was just too strong. She could inhale alcohol from his breathe and she knew that he was drunk.

" F-f-father.... ple-ase let g-g-go of me"

She had no choice but to hit him on the grion and he held back,she tried to run to the door but he caught her by her hair and pushed her back into the other side of the room on the floor. He marched up to her sides and kicked her on her thighs. This caused pain on nina and after that contact,she started to scream. He kept on hitting her,he kicked her back and she flipped over to cover her back but once her front upperbody was exposed he stomped on her tummy and she whimpered. She tried getting up that didn't help her.

Now her main focus was to leave.

The room was filled with filled with whimpers and shouts and cries of fear.

Nina's main focus now was to escape. But she knew she wasn't that strong.

She crawled to her father's desk and shrunk, embracing whatever was to come. She rested her head inside her arms and lifted her legs to her chest.

Her father took the belt that was holding up his pants and he began to hit her with it with burning rage.

Nina cried and embraced her self with all the pain.

She cried that anyone... anybody can come and save her from this torture she was in.
