Chapter 11 The Parking Lot

- 6 PM -

@First Aid Room

"Miss, please wake up," the nurse called, gently shaking the young woman's shoulder.

"Ah," the young woman opened her eyes and found herself lying in a quiet first aid room.

"Unfortunately, it's time for us to close the first aid room," the nurse said kindly.

"That's why I had to wake you up," she explained with a smile.

"Okay, thank you," Nam Khing said immediately, sitting up because it was almost six o'clock. This meant she had been unconscious for a few hours. The room was empty, except for the bed she was lying on.

"The reason you fainted is probably due to exhaustion and stress," the nurse said.

"Please try to rest and eat balanced meals," she advised.

"Thank you," Nam Khing said, bowing her head gratefully to the nurse. When she took her bag and left the room, the last thing she remembered was arguing with Faren until she fainted...

"At least he didn't leave me unconscious in front of that building," she murmured to herself.

When she left the first aid room, she realized she needed to email her professor immediately. She had used up her attendance allowance, and missing another class without a valid reason would mean she couldn't take the exams. So she quickly started writing and sending the email.

Shaking her head, she tried to pull herself together. Both the meeting with Professor Waree and fainting had worn her out.

After sending the email, she continued walking without lifting her head.

"Oh, sorry," she said, inadvertently bumping into a man's back.

"Oh, Nam Khing," said a familiar voice.

"Ryan," she said, smiling as she looked at him.

"Were you sick? I saw you coming out of the first aid room," Ryan said, with a concerned look.

"I was feeling a bit unwell, but I'm fine now," Nam Khing said. They continued walking together.

"That's why I didn't see you in class," Ryan said, taking something out of his bag.

"I just sent a new email to inform them I was sick," she said, feeling a bit embarrassed.

"These are the class notes," Ryan said, handing her a small notebook. "If there's anything you don't understand, you can ask me," he added.

"You're very kind," Nam Khing said, smiling. Ryan was the captain of their faculty's football team, and they had gotten quite close in classes and faculty events. Ryan always invited them to football matches.

Deep down, Nam Khing had a slight interest in Ryan, but she had too many problems to solve in her life at the moment.

As they left the faculty together, Nam Khing said, "I'll return the notes to you tomorrow after reading them."

"Okay," Ryan said, smiling.

"Shall we go back together?" he asked.

"I usually take the bus, but today I'm going to Irene's place," she said.

"Actually, I also stay in the building where Irene lives. We can go together," Ryan said.

"Okay," Nam Khing said.

"Wait, I'll get my motorcycle," Ryan said.

"Let's walk together, don't be alone," Nam Khing said.

"Okay," Ryan said, laughing.

They walked together towards the parking lot. Ryan's motorcycle was parked in front of the men's restroom.

The door opened, and both of them looked towards the sound.

"Faren," Nam Khing said, lowering her voice immediately. Ryan also gave Faren a hostile look.

Faren exited the restroom, fastening his belt. His white shirt was buttoned unevenly, his chest tattoos and the scent of perfume were immediately noticeable. Faren threw the condom packet in his hand into the trash and looked at Nam Khing.

"Faren," a woman's voice was heard, she was also coming out of the restroom. Her clothes were disheveled.

"We should go," Ryan said, getting on his motorcycle.

"Yes," Nam Khing said, getting on Ryan's motorcycle.

Faren clenched his fist, saying nothing. He lit a cigarette and watched them.

"You can hold on to my waist," Ryan said.

"Okay," Nam Khing replied.

As the motorcycle sped out of the parking lot, "Is he following us?" Ryan asked, looking in the rearview mirror.
