Resigned, Kain decided to take the System's advice and take a closer look at his contract's information page.
----------------------------------
Nickname: N/A
Species: Brain-Eating Amoeba (BEA)
A rare microorganism typically found in warm freshwater bodies such as hot springs. When a host enters its waters, it typically enters through the nasal cavity in swimmers and moves towards the brain. Early symptoms of infection include headache, fever, nausea, blurred vision and fainting. Later may include seizures and hallucinations. The fatality rate in infected at or below the brain-eating amoeba's spiritual power is 97%.
Quality: Bronze
Spiritual Power Grade: White (232/1000 SP)
Type: Microorganism (Amoeba)
Attribute: water, mental
Skills:
A-Rapid Proliferation: When entering bodies of water, BEA can rapidly divide. Producing thousands of progeny within seconds that can be controlled by the parent cell.
A-Brain Infection: Once inside a host BEA can make its way to a suitable host's brain to cause almost certain death in creatures of equal and lower spiritual power. Symptoms, but not death, will be triggered in infected with spiritual power up to one grade higher.
B-Seamless integration: Once entering a fluid, BEA integrates perfectly with the surrounding environment becoming completely undetectable to creatures with a spiritual power up to one grade higher
C-Capsule formation: under harsh conditions such as extreme temperatures and acids, BEA forms a resilient capsule to prevent death. Once activated, no other skills can be used.

Kain was pleasantly surprised. Shocked really. Bronze-quality? Two A-level skills? Usually only the most talented of the silver-quality spiritual creatures had an A-level skill, and usually only one. His contract had 2! Maybe it has to do with the fact that it is a rare mental-attribute spiritual creature. Creatures with a mental-affinity are usually not below Gold-quality. They are also one of the hardest to defend against.
Moreover, it's B-level skill isn't too shabby, allowing it to sneak up on even red-grade spiritual beasts and 2-star beast-tamers. 'That mercenary was probably a 2-star. That's probably why the mercenary was affected but didn't die, yet had no idea what really happened to him here.'
'Maybe I can make this work…' Kain thought. Feeling, for the first time in a while, some optimism for the future.
"Now that I've got a contract, I guess I should give you a name…" Kain muttered, finally feeling some semblance of affection for his first contract. "I actually kind of like the acronym for your species, BEA. I will call you Bea from now on."
'Now that I got what I came here for, I guess I can head back home now…' Kain headed back in the direction of the exit after recalling Bea with a pep in his step.
