Chapter 469: The Stalker

Kain's first attempt to draw out the owner of the hostile gaze was subtle.

He wandered through the bustling streets of Dark Moon City, his movements seemingly casual, pausing every so often to browse through shops or watch street performers—but he was always on guard against his surroundings.

He stopped at a market stall selling exotic fruits, running his fingers over the vibrant produce, pretending to consider a purchase while subtly adjusting his angle to scan the street behind him.

The prickling sensation at the back of his neck persisted, but the source remained elusive. Whoever was watching him was skilled and constantly remained within the busiest areas. As a result, Kain couldn't easily place who was following him. Even with his heightened awareness and trained instincts, there were too many moving figures and too many distractions.
