Anomalies cross paths.

'Yes, yes, yes, this what I'm looking for, fresh, juicy information.' Ace said in his mind, pleased at his excellent information sourcing skills.

Medi leaned in to Whisper "When he was born it is rumoured a vision of the signature meridian map of the capiō family spread for miles." Medi said, the tone he had resembled that of a married house wife in their gossip group, It seems like Medi was quite the blabbermouth.

"You said something about meridian maps earlier, What are those?" Ace asked.

"Oooh!" He exclaimed, his eyes lit up by realization.

"I'm sorry, I forgot you aren't from a noble family, which is surprising given your outstanding talent."

Ace ignored the compliment and went straight to the point, asking medi what he wanted to know.

"No need to apologise, but can you tell me what a meridian map is." Ace pleaded.

"Sure I'll tell you, a meridian map is a—" said Medi, before his sentence was interrupted by the teacher's booming voice.

"Alright class, that's enough chatter, I've delayed enough already, now that I've said all my rules, the lesson can now proceed." He said.

'And this is our first topic.' he said, pointing towards the chalk board behind him.

Strings of letters arranged itself on an orderly manner on the board behind him, forming a set of words.

'Origin of psychics'

Ace briefly glanced at Medi as the lesson started, finding him to be deeply focused on the the blackboard.

Ace groaned internally 'He was just about to say what a meridian map is…Damn…maybe next time, maybe next time, for now, I should focus on the lesson too.'

He shifted his focus back to the teacher.

"The origin of psychics, or more specifically the origin of the path of of the spirit.

The path of the spirit started all the way back in 600 BB, A time were natural disasters were rampant on earth, and evolution rates were at an all time high, a special baby was born, he was able to speak, walk, read and write a merely two weeks after he was born,

That baby was the first person to ever walk the path of the spirit.

Normally even though everyone has a soul they can't use spirit magic because the soul is extremely fragile, but this baby was a different case, his soul plasticity was better than rubber, unlike the baseless slop of a soul everyone had, his soul was born with an «inner soul core» that made his soul have a extreme flexibility and outstanding structural integrity.

This talent made this baby able to use his spirit to influence the world and twist the natural order of things

This baby later grew up to be the creator of one of the ancient guilds; Alma—one of the three dominant guilds on earth at the time.

The path of the spirit has changed a lot since then, the most major changes being during the period After Bestowal.

In the time Before Bestowal people had no cores and limited capacity to hold spirit energy, but After Bestowal things changed when people with cores capable of holding Aether started appearing.

With Aether you could increase your capacity and recovery time by a large margin."

After the teacher said that, he went on to describe in more detail, the history of the path of the spirit.

"…And that's all for this lesson, you're free to go to your next classes—if you have one—now." The teacher said, his raspy voice echoing across the class. Even he was tired after talking for so long.

Sighs of relief were heard throughout the class, no one liked a boring lesson with no real substance to gain, not even Ace—who found the topic intriguing—liked getting bombarded with a large amount of information without getting any time to digest.

"Don't look so displeased class, now that you have gone past the boring bit, the next class is going to be much more interesting." He said trying to comfort them.

Ace payed him no heed, opting to ask Medi about something he forgot to ask earlier.

"Can you point to Apeiron for me, so I know his face."

"sure, he's the black–haired guy with a skinny build sitting at on row four."

Ace glanced at where Medi was pointing only to find a strange sight, Apeiron was already looking at him. His green, gem like eyes glittered like emeralds as they bore into him.

Their surroundings seemed to slow down, as Ace met his gaze, his deep dark eyes lit up with a purple glow as their gazes aligned.

'What is this?' Ace thought to himself in fascination.

Time seemed to be slowing down to a crawl, and that wasn't a vague feeling, time truly was slowing down, he could feel it.

"This is a telepathic soul resonance." A voice answered Ace's earlier question.

"Who are you?!"

Ace moved back in shock, looking everywhere around him for the person who spoke.

"What do you mean, who am I?, your the one who initiated this telepathic contact, surely you know who I am."

Ace finally locked onto the source of the voice, It was a man dressed in a pitch black robe that covered him head to toe, the only thing that could be seen under the ominous darkness were his piercing green eyes.
