Dexter's soul followed Sophia back to the mountaintop villa. It was the place they once dreamed of calling home, one they would live out the rest of their lives together.
He was actually fond of quiet places like this. He would be able to watch the scenery and the long, winding mountain road just by sitting in the courtyard.
"Sophia," he softly called her name as he followed her around.
Sophia couldn't hear or see him.
Dexter felt at a loss. He failed to hug her multiple times and could only resort to following her around, watching her. He couldn't do anything else other than that.
However, this was more than enough for him.
Perhaps he had known that his soul would continue to exist in a different form after he died, so he wasn't afraid of death.
Dexter figured that Sophia must have experienced the same thing when she died back then.
"You're right by my side, right, Dexter?" she softly asked as she sat on a swing in the courtyard.
