The Eve Of The Second Exam

At this moment, Naruto suddenly raised his hand.

Is this guy going to give up? Ibiki thought.

But Kaguya knew that with Naruto's hot-blooded nature, there was no way he would give up.

As expected, the ensuing events played out just like in the original story. Naruto did not give up, and his words even alleviated the anxiety of the other genin present. After that, no one else gave up. Seeing that waiting any longer would yield no different results, Ibiki announced the results of the exam.

Thus, Kaguya passed the exam by doing nothing more than sleeping through it.

Suddenly, a stone was thrown from outside, shattering the window, and a shadow rushed in. With a flash of her hand, four kunai were thrown into the four corners, from which a large banner hung down.

On the podium stood a young woman with short hair tied in a ponytail, a delicate face, and a figure accentuated by a mesh outfit, particularly prominent in the chest area. This girl was none other than Anko Mitarashi.

"Now is not the time to celebrate," Anko shouted energetically, "I'm the second examiner, Anko Mitarashi. The next exam is about to begin, so follow me!" She raised her hand and made a cheering gesture.

However, the examinees below seemed to be in a daze, staring blankly at the enthusiastic Anko on the podium.

"Who is this person?"

"No idea."

"Did she enter the wrong room?"

"Maybe."

Trying hard to make an impression but getting no response can be quite awkward.

Kaguya felt a secondhand embarrassment watching Anko.

The next morning.

The sky was blue with scattered clouds, the lake's surface was clear, reflecting the blue sky and white clouds. A gentle breeze caused ripples, creating a unified texture of water and sky. The bright sunlight streamed down like threads, rustling the leaves, and wildflowers swayed in the wind. The surrounding sea of trees added to the serene atmosphere.

The successful candidates from the first exam were now gathered outside the examination area, their numbers looking substantial.

"What is this place?" an examinee couldn't help but ask.

Before the examinees was an area cordoned off by a wire fence, the dilapidated state of the fence indicating it had been abandoned for a long time. A sign hung on it, reading "No Entry."

Inside, it looked like a forest, with dense trees blocking out the sun, giving it a gloomy appearance.

"This is the venue for the second exam," Anko Mitarashi said with a smirk, "Training Ground 44, also known as the Forest of Death."

Kaguya yawned. The name sounded quite scary, but it was just a forest, mostly a battleground, clearly meant to increase tension.

"Do you have something to say?" Even though Kaguya was wearing a mask, Anko could sense her disdain.

"Nothing," Kaguya quickly waved her hand. "I just think this forest looks like a place I once visited."

This was the truth. In her previous world, she was an avid traveler who often went camping and exploring vast forests.

"Is that so?" Anko smiled slyly and suddenly flung a kunai from her sleeve towards Kaguya, simultaneously flashing behind her.

But by the time Anko appeared behind Kaguya, she was shocked to see that Kaguya had caught the kunai and held it in her hand. The blade was pointed backward, precisely where Anko had appeared, as if Anko had run into it herself.

"Sensei, don't throw things around carelessly. What if you hit the flowers and plants?" Kaguya handed the kunai back to Anko. "I hope you won't make such jokes again."

This girl...

Anko gritted her teeth. Her speed was incredibly fast, not something an ordinary person could react to. Even seasoned chunin would have a hard time with it.

But this Kaguya had effortlessly caught her kunai and accurately predicted where she would appear.

The first time Anko heard of Kaguya was with the nickname "100 Million-Ryo Girl," and she had scoffed at it. No matter how pretty she was, she thought Kaguya was just a vase.

Now she remembered that before being known as "100 Million-Ryo Girl," Kaguya had another nickname—"Konoha's Genius."

Things were starting to get interesting.

Anko smiled and took the kunai from Kaguya's hand.

In a corner unnoticed by everyone, a long-haired man wearing a conical hat was staring intently at Kaguya, his eyes emitting a chilling light, as if he wanted to devour her.

He extended his long tongue, licking his lips, and let out a creepy laugh.
