Battle Against General Budo

Kaguya was startled; she hadn't sensed the presence of that person before. It was as if they had appeared out of thin air. Kaguya frowned slightly, wondering if it was because her powers were being suppressed.

It seemed she could no longer rely on her usual habits, and this encounter served as a warning for Kaguya that she might face unexpected troubles if she was not cautious.

The incoming lightning struck almost instantly, resembling a frenzied silver serpent lunging at Kaguya.

"Boom!"

A powerful electric current hit Kaguya instantly.

Sparks flew.

The wall also exploded into fragments due to the electric shock, sending stones flying and dust billowing.

A figure appeared on top of the wall, the one who had launched the attack. He had yellow hair, a cold, chiseled face, and a tall, robust physique. His muscles were bulging, and his thick arms were as large as Kaguya's thighs. He wore armor, with two rods inserted into his arms that gleamed coldly.

"A fly dares to cause trouble, truly ignorant of death," the man sneered, glancing at the point of impact, and turned to leave. In his eyes, no one could survive a direct hit from him.

"Who are you calling a fly?"

The man's body shook, and he abruptly turned around, his eyes narrowing.

The swirling dust gradually dispersed with the wind, revealing a graceful silhouette. Her curvy figure had a voluptuous chest and an elegant posture. Unfortunately, she wore a large cloak and veil, concealing her appearance—she was Kaguya.

"I meant you," the man said coldly.

"This is my first time seeing someone call themselves a fly," Kaguya said, playing with her long hair, smiling slightly, "Isn't that right, General Budo?"

To have the ability to control lightning and possess such overwhelming power, Kaguya could think of no one else but Budo.

Budo's expression changed, his face showing anger. He clearly realized Kaguya was mocking him. A cold glint flashed in his eyes as he clenched his fists, veins bulging, and said coldly, "Since you seek death, then die."

As soon as he finished speaking, Budo raised his arms, roared loudly, and the two iron rods on his arms collided with a "bang." A huge white lightning bolt surged forth and shot out like a bullet.

At this critical moment, several black spheres suddenly appeared beside Kaguya, instantly transforming into a wall-like barrier, like flowing water. This was Kaguya's Truth-Seeking Balls, and they had also defended against Budo's lightning earlier.

Unfortunately, the Truth-Seeking Balls could not neutralize Budo's lightning. Kaguya speculated that Budo's lightning might be harnessing the natural energy of the world, akin to a form of natural power.

The Truth-Seeking Balls couldn't negate natural forces, similar to how they couldn't neutralize Sage Techniques, which also draw from nature.

Amidst crackling sounds, the thick lightning struck the black barrier with flashes of electricity and fire.

"Your attack doesn't seem very effective, does it? So soft and weak, did you even eat?" The black barrier opened to reveal Kaguya's figure. Although the Truth-Seeking Balls couldn't eliminate Budo's attack, they still provided formidable defense.

"Hmph, arrogant fool."

Budo snorted coldly, his eyes flashing coldly. He slammed his arms together, and a massive electric current converged between the two iron rods like a white light sphere. Several lightning bolts shot out like a machine gun, raining down upon Kaguya like a storm.

Meanwhile, the noise from this battle had already alerted the palace guard, and soldiers began streaming toward the commotion.

"Not playing with you anymore," Kaguya's expression changed slightly as she glanced toward the approaching guards. She turned, waved at General Budo, and said with a light smile, "I'm leaving now." With that, she stepped on the ground, her body flickering away like an arrow, heading out of the city, while the oncoming lightning hit nothing but air.

Kaguya initially intended to test Budo's strength, but this wasn't the best place to do so. Not only were the guards alerted, but even Honest's Four Rakshasa Demons were on their way. Though Kaguya was confident she could escape, it would still be troublesome.

Moreover, she had other matters to attend to and couldn't stay here.

"Trying to escape?"

General Budo, unable to capture Kaguya, was already furious, and being mocked only added fuel to the fire. He wanted to capture and interrogate her severely. Seeing Kaguya about to flee the city, he couldn't hold back any longer. Budo stomped on the ground, using the recoil to leap into the air, enveloped in crackling electricity as if he wore armor made of lightning.

With a "boom," General Budo, floating in mid-air, slammed his two iron rods together again.

Suddenly, the sky changed dramatically, with clouds gathering over the capital, forming a massive thundercloud. Lightning flickered like dancing snakes, and the thunder echoed through the sky.

A blinding white sphere formed from lightning appeared above him, surrounded by crackling electricity and roaring thunder. It exuded an intimidating aura, with surging waves like a violent hurricane.

"My Teigu, Adramelech's ultimate move," Budo roared, "Let me show you!"

"Thunder Condensed Beam!"

In his rage, Budo unleashed his ultimate technique, clearly intending to kill Kaguya.

"Die!"

With Budo's roar, the white sphere, crackling with electric arcs and surging lightning, shot toward Kaguya like a cannonball with overwhelming force.

At that moment, Kaguya was mid-air, unable to find footing or dodge, about to be struck by the descending lightning.

A smirk appeared on Budo's face. No one could survive such an attack. Those who faced this move before had been reduced to ashes.

However, the scenario he imagined of Kaguya being reduced to ashes didn't unfold. What happened next was beyond his imagination.

"What?"

Budo's eyes widened in shock as he stared at Kaguya's direction.

The white sphere of lightning didn't hit Kaguya but seemed to meet an invisible black hole. As it reached her, it was absorbed bit by bit into nothingness.

Only now did Budo realize that Kaguya, suspended in the air, had eyes like autumn water, exuding a strange light—a hint of crimson with an almost imperceptible purple. The lightning was being drawn toward her eyes.

Budo wore a look of disbelief. His lightning had been absorbed by her eyes? This was beyond reason, something he had never encountered before.

While Budo was in a daze, Kaguya raised her alabaster arm. The black Truth-Seeking Ball in her hand spun wildly, instantly forming a massive storm that rushed toward Budo.

"Silver Wheel Reincarnation Explosion!"

Budo was shocked, snapping back to reality. He slammed his arms together, forming a shield made of lightning in front of him.

The enormous storm collided with his lightning shield. Budo's pupils contracted, shocked to find his lightning shield shattered like glass. The immense shockwave struck his body forcefully.

Budo's chest caved in, and with a "thud," he spat out a mouthful of blood, his body tumbling to the ground like a broken kite.
