Girl, You're Playing with Fire

Kaguya glanced at the pile of clothes that still hadn't been tried on and sighed, her mouth twitching in frustration. "How many outfits have we tried already? Isn't this just a waste of time? Let's go back."

"Absolutely not," Qiao Xiaoqing protested, holding up a dress and measuring it against Kaguya's figure. "It's such a shame not to dress up when you have such a pretty face and figure. Do you know how many people would kill to look like you?"

"Trying on clothes doesn't have anything to do with looks," Kaguya grumbled, her eyebrow twitching.

"Of course it does," Qiao Xiaoqing said seriously. "When you have such beauty and a great body, it's a waste not to wear beautiful clothes."

"I really don't have an interest in this stuff," Kaguya insisted. "I'm not some pervert."

"Really?" Qiao Xiaoqing blinked her pretty eyes innocently. "I didn't notice that before."

"If you keep calling me that, I'm seriously going to get mad," Kaguya warned.

Being constantly called a pervert made her feel awkward. Despite her transformation into a perfect female body—far beyond the average woman—she still felt uncomfortable, especially when facing someone as familiar as Qiao Xiaoqing.

Sensing Kaguya's rising frustration, Qiao Xiaoqing quickly clasped her hands together in a gesture of apology, batting her large eyes with a pleading look. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean it! Please don't be mad."

As she apologized, she hugged Kaguya's arm tightly, her soft, perky chest pressing against it.

"Girl, you're playing with fire," Kaguya said, her expression dead serious.

"Excuse me, ladies, would you like to continue trying on clothes?" a saleswoman approached, smiling politely.

Kaguya and Qiao Xiaoqing had been trying on clothes for quite a while without buying anything. The saleswoman had been patient, likely because they were both very beautiful and carried themselves with an air of elegance. Otherwise, she might have shown her annoyance earlier.

But this was starting to feel like a waste of her time.

"Sorry to trouble you, we're done here," Kaguya said apologetically, grabbing Qiao Xiaoqing's hand, ready to leave.

The saleswoman's expression shifted ever so slightly, a glint of disdain flickering across her face. Originally, she had thought these two were some rich socialites out for a shopping spree, but it turns out they were just a couple of window-shopping freeloaders. Her disappointment was hard to hide, and her face grew colder.

"Who said we were done?" Qiao Xiaoqing huffed, catching onto the saleswoman's attitude. "We're not finished yet."

The saleswoman's smile strained, her patience wearing thin. While she couldn't express her frustration outwardly, it was clear she was no longer enjoying this interaction.

"My apologies, but we only have one fitting room available now," the saleswoman said with a stiff smile.

"Why only one?" Qiao Xiaoqing's temper flared. "Are you implying we can't afford these clothes?"

Is that how you're presenting yourselves? The saleswoman thought with a silent sneer, but kept her words polite.

"Due to the number of customers, we have limited fitting rooms at the moment. I hope you can understand," she explained diplomatically.

"So they can use the fitting rooms, but we can't?" Qiao Xiaoqing asked, clearly irritated by the perceived slight.

"It's fine, just one room is enough," Kaguya intervened, tugging on Qiao Xiaoqing's hand to calm her down.

Though the saleswoman's attitude had been a bit off, Kaguya noticed that the store was indeed crowded, with many people waiting for their turn to try on clothes. It didn't seem right to hog multiple fitting rooms, especially since their raised voices were drawing the attention of nearby shoppers. The last thing Kaguya wanted was to become the center of a spectacle.

"Thank you for your understanding. Let me know if you need anything else," the saleswoman said, turning to attend to other customers with a much more genuine smile.

"How dare she!" Qiao Xiaoqing fumed. "What kind of attitude is that?"

"Let it go," Kaguya said, gently squeezing her friend's hand. "Didn't you notice people are staring?"

"Who cares?" Qiao Xiaoqing huffed. "We didn't do anything wrong! If this were a normal day, I'd shut this place down for good."

"Sure, sure. Thank you for sparing them," Kaguya chuckled, amused by her friend's dramatics.

Knowing Qiao Xiaoqing's background, Kaguya was well aware that this wasn't just idle talk. With her connections, she could easily close down a store like this if she really wanted to.
