Underground storage room part 5

James open the door completely and slowly climb out of the hole, holding torch light in his hand he looked around and the once container that used to hide the entrance to underground storage room is nowhere to be seen and ground seem to be wet that wasn't there before.

"James don't look up no matter what." James heard Yui's voice, and there was a clear warning and sense of dread in her voice.

He doesn't know what she shows in the sky that made her so fearful but it was like natural reaction of human to do things that they were told not to do, James almost raised his head to look up but before he could see sky Yui strongly pulled him down on the ground, the sudden jerk force was powerful enough to not be able resist and slamming his face on the ground.

"Ouch, what was that for its hurt." James' facial expression turned into an angry one as his face was slammed on the ground with force, his nose and forehead got scratched and started bleeding with a small amount of blood.

"I told you not to look above." Yui said with anger in her voice as James wasn't listening to her warning.

"What's above that makes you scared to not even look at the sky, is it that flying tentacle skinnmore up above our head?" James asks with a bit of fear and irritation in his voice as that monster was really scary and if that flying tentacle monster isn't the cause of the fear in Yui eyes, what kind of scary creature it must be then.

Sky lit up by the fire once again, Yui looked at James struggling to stand up but couldn't under her strength.

'My gut feelings are telling me, whatever that thing above fighting in the sky is strong enough to kill us with one glance.' But Yui doesn't know who's gaze it is, the one who is getting attacked or one who is attacking.

James was frustrated with Yui's arrogant and bossy attitude like this but he can't say anything as she has better understanding and knowledge about this place in their group. Only thing he can currently do is follow what she says.

"Don't straight up raise your head, keep your focus on the ground, while standing up and don't look at the sky no matter what." You gave final warning to James and walked back to the underground storage room ground opening.

She slightly opens the door and looks below at Noah and other girls standing at the ladder, "Hey, listen up carefully, I don't want to repeat myself. When you climb up to the outside do not look at the sky no matter what and If you do, you will put everyone's life at risk."

Below the surface Noah and other girls look at the surface door; they cannot see the Yui till it becomes visible with orange and reddish light behind her and that light quickly disappears too. They don't know what is outside but it must be terrifying enough to kill them just with its gaze no-one knows.

The torch light in Noah hand starts to flicker as it seems to be run out of the power soon, "Why this torch batteries has to run out of the power right now out of all the time, it could have been dead."

Without the torch light it's going to be hard for them to move around, even the loss of one torch light is quite big for them as their life depends on the light in this dark world.

Seeing the flickering light reminds them just like this light they're not far from their death as they're just prolonging they're life by just being here.

Noah and girls look at the flickering light for few seconds till they heard Yui voice once again and pull them out of their bewilderment, Noah heard the Yui voice telling them not to look at sky but telling them also going make them more try to what's in the sky that they aren't supposed to look.

They knew it was the final warning from the Yui and they shouldn't make unnecessary voices that might attract something hiding in the shadows.

Noah looks at the ladder in front of him and moves his head around to see girls behind him, if the battery runs out of the power at the last moment whoever climbs up last would have a hard time climbing up and unlike him others can't see anything at all in darkness. He said that he's the only one beside Yui that is able to see in darkness not the clear vision like on their world but still better than other humans.

"I will stay in the back to show you the ladder with torch light from here and all of you should go ahead first."

Noah said to the girls standing behind him as man he should let women go first because someone has to be below and look after them as they safely climb up and all the girls nodded their heads in yes and agreed with him without any objection.

Olivia start to walk first to the ladder with her trembling hand she holds the metal ladder, cold surface of metal ladder makes her goose bumps rise up despite the fear in her heart she put her foot on ladder step below her and start to climb up with shaking hand and shaking leg she starts climb the ladder it was bit difficult for her as she and other girls didn't eat anything for past two days and their body is really weak without much stamina left in her.

Slowly within a few seconds Olivia climbed up to the top, just as she did she knocked on the door for Yui to open. Yui slightly opened up the door and put her one hand on Olivia's head, "Lower your head to make sure to not to look up, this is something for everyone's safety."

"Mmm, I'll keep that in mind. Don't worry, Yui." Olivia said as gets out of the door with her head lower looking at the ground surface.

One by one all the girls left through the climbing the ladder only one remaining below in the underground storage room is Noah and other girls who just want to stay here and don't want to go out with them as they haven't accepted the reality they were in yet.

Noah is scared to go outside but he still holds the ladder and starts to climb up slowly but in the mid-way he stopped and looks towards the storage room, even though he could see the girls in storage room because of darkness he knows they are still there, "If you want come with us you can, it would be better as team as we have more number as team."

But to Noah's disappointment no reply came from them, as if they didn't even hear his voice in the first place.

"If any of you changed your mind later on, I'm living behind one torch light for you to use."

THUD!!!

Noah drop the torch light from his hand to the ground below and sound of torch light hitting ground was heard in room but no one responded to that either, Noah look at the torch light as it falls bit harder than he thought it would but torch is still working as light is still coming out from torch, he sighs in relief as it's still working.

Noah looked at the torch on the floor for last before he started to climb up the ladder above the surface. Yui holds the door slightly open enough so Noah won't accidently see the sky. Noah slowly climbed up to the top and lowered his head so as to not look above as he remembers the warning Yui gave before.

As he walked on the surface once again Noah greeted with cold temperature and humidity, he saw the wet ground and puddle of water here and there that wasn't here before and few empty lines where container cargo were neatly put like walls before.

Noah for some reason felt the fear, he couldn't explain for what but except for him and Yui doesn't seem to be aware of this. Yui might have better kin alert for these senses as she knows that one shouldn't look at the sky, while he only feels threat to his life but couldn't pin point the direction.

"Yui, I don't think we should stay here for one more second. We need to move now." Noah said with a terrifying face and low voice as Yui can see that he feels the danger to their life too.

"Yeah, I know."

"James, let's move to the building you were talking about and running at this time isn't the best decision as it would tire us out within a few minutes. We should walk fast without making any unnecessary noise." Yui said in a soft and low voice that speaking louder isn't a good choice for them.

James nodded his head in agreement and started to walk on the road in full alertness and behind him Yui, Noah and girls started to follow but just within a second after they started walking they heard the scream of terror from behind them coming from an underground storage room.
