Noah run without looking back, he felt really hopeless as everyone beside them is dying and he couldn't help them or save them. Running away like scared dog with tail between its leg, from the voice he knew that voice belong to Matilda and the two girls. All of three of them are dead whatever it is it's far more scarier than skinnmore they have faced before.
'What's the point of having guns, if we can't even use them.' Noah felt the weight of the gun much heavier than before as despite holding the gun not even a single time he tried to fire bullets at the monster.
Even though it is really shameful and cowardly, that's the only way he can think of surviving as gun sounds might attract more monsters than they can get rid off. He saw how James gunning down the skinnmore did nothing at all as it just took a few steps back that's all. Only way to kill one is with the dagger in Yui's hands but she ran away, leaving them behind in face of such monstrosity. He resented her for leaving them behind but he understood, any one of them would have done the same thing, if they can run really fast like her.
He knows next it would be their turn but what kind of monster they are facing he doesn't know nor the Yui knew only the fear from their soul was reminding them they have no chance of survival against this. Noah's forehead is covered in sweat as not from the exhaustion but from the constant fear and stress.
The cold temperature of this realm starts to feel warmer as they run might be because they're using every strength from their body to run but Noah felt doubtful as the warm temperature started to get hot.
'Why is it getting hot all of sudden, is it also the power of that hidden monster?' Noah thought to himself that change in temperature wasn't normal, anything in this world wasn't normal to began with as every change in their surroundings brings new terrifying creatures that are scarier than one before but Noah got an answer to his question soon enough.
Sky lights up once again for them. These few moments of light calms their heart as humans always search for the light. They knew it would disappear in a few moments with a loud explosion as they thought but it didn't happen. The sky remained bright for more than it was before and unlike before there's no change in temperature. They felt a clear rise in temperature.
The once cold temperature replaced with hot summer day to extreme heat and it wasn't that all sky seems to getting brighter and brighter they can clearly see everything under the bright light world in chaos, the main office building that Noah hours ago came to deliver food.
"That's the building where we are going. We just have to run in a straight path, don't mess it up." James said out loudly that if any of them make it alive they can go there as they know which direction they have to run.
"But where are all those monsters we first saw ahead of us and where did Yui go? I don't see her anywhere up ahead." Hilary said with shocked voice as the skinnomore they saw minutes ago had disappeared in front of them and they don't have courage or will to turn around and look at what is chasing them now and skinnomore that surrounded them.
Just as she said that loud screech of monsters heard from all directions as if all of them are enraged by the light above the sky and going to go on rampage around them now.
"For fuck sake, stop being jinx all the time." James said with anger as just as Hilary stopped speaking about not having any monster around they heard monsters screech loudly as all of them are coming towards their direction.
"I didn't say anything bad and it's not like all of them will be coming here." Hilary replied with visible frustration and anger as being called jinx hurt her.
"Bitch you…" James didn't say what he wanted to say instead swallow his spit and start to run faster ahead.
Noah looks at James and Hilary from their face, he can tell they also feel something wrong about the bright sky but his gut feelings tell him, this is just as bad as what took Matilda. He hopes what he has in his mind is not true but to verify it he has to look above but Yui warns them not to look up no matter what happens.
Fear inside his heart kept growing as the temperature kept rising, Noah looked around him and saw the scared and fearful face of everyone ahead of him. Despite their instincts telling them they will die, they are still trying to survive, even though none of them can actually outrun weakest skinnomore and yet they desperately want to survive in this cursed world.
'I have to see what's going on, even if it kills me I have to give it a try. One small eye peak won't change anything.' Noah thought to himself as he can't endure this heat anymore.
Noah slowly raised his head to look above at the sky, what greeted his eyes left them wide open as he never thought he would see something like this. His face lost its all colour as he saw one of the most terrifying scenes.
In front of Noah's eyes the massive fireball descends from the sky, a streak of scarlet orange light that illuminates the pitch black sky like a small sun. When this small sun hits the ground it will destroy everything in its path and surrounding and most of them will burn to death with severe burns or just turn into ashes as it approaches really fast speed they can't run out of the impact zone or hide in somewhere that will defend them.
"We are the target of a fireball." Noah screamed with his lungs out as he saw the fireball as big basketball court size, even if it seems small for others they have witnessed the explosive power of fireball by themselves as how it creates shockwaves on ground despite exploding in the sky.
"Run as fast as you can." James screamed as he tried to run as fast as he could but it was too late as the burning fireball was almost 100 meters away from ground and they could feel the burning sensation on their skin.
The fireball like meteor strike down at the Jenny or what left of her body as she was the main target of the fireball from the start, the writhing three tentacles as if they sense the approaching fireball they coiled together like nest of serpents tightening and twisting into massive spear lashing out towards the fireball with terrifying force as it cut through the air with sonic boom sound the tentacles that were just mindlessly devouring everything moments ago almost broke through the sound barrier.
The fireball wasn't weak enough to be deflected or slowed down by this either; instead like a python finding its prey the fireball swallows the tentacles in its scarlet orange flames. Just as the tentacles came in contact with flames the rotten flesh started to burn with a sizzling sound that once didn't even get a scratch mark from skinnomore claws attack. As fireballs swallow Jenny whole body, it explodes out like a massive explosion that burns everything to the ground.
As the fireball explodes with unimaginable force, the ground trembles violently as shockwaves pass through the ground. Reducing everything within its contact area to ashes, Jenny's body and the three tentacles were almost obliterated in furious flames. The force of the explosion radiated outward in
The force of the explosion spread out in all directions in a fiery wave, obliterating and incinerating everything in its path. The skinnomore closest to the blast were incinerated, their shrieks of pain drowned out by the deafening roar of the explosion and the burning heat reduced their bodies to ashes. The explosion made a big mushroom cloud in the air.
The flames and shockwave tore apart container cargo and sent them flying like toy's and those cargos who were closest to the blast melted into slag. Those who were out of the blast area were thrown out in the air like a loose kite sending everything around it flying out in all directions whether its container cargo, humans or the monster.
Whatever it came in contact with flames kept burning on till its reduce to ashes or become molten lava. The force of explosion was so powerful that it created a mushroom cloud in the sky, towering inferno like a tower of destruction. The shockwave traveled far beyond the blast zone, throwing humans, monsters and debris of the objects alike into the air as if they were nothing more than small leaves in a hurricane.
Those who made fireballs didn't realise that they let out shiny fireflies in the darkest night, where light is consumed by darkness or by the one who dwells and thrives in this darkness.
