Old vs New

At home oblivous about the dangers his father was in, Teclos was laying comfortably on his bed and reminiscing about his past life while Saldia was cleaning the house.

Back at earth his life altho mediocre wasn't really bad ,he had a stable job,a roof over his head and all the food he wanted ...it was a peacefull life.

Offcourse the reason he was even reminiscing about his old life after a year and a half, was mostly because of his previous parents and friends . Right now he was mostly used to his new life but every now and then he missed his past life, from mundane belongings he had to the variety when it came to food but offcourse most of all his friends and parents.

His previous dad got him through most of his life ,he was a handy and competent man. Teaching him all kinds of usefull things in life like how to build things and when to toughen up so life doesn't break you. It was hard dealing with the fact that he would never see him again ,that was also true for his previous mom.

His mother was a picture perfect housewife, always having a clean house and food on the table. While she was strict with him alot of the time it was always out of love. From comforting him if he failed at something and picking him back up, to watching over him like a hawk when he had to do the home work for school...tho at the time he was annoyed by it ,now that he was remembering his past again he felt glad to have had her by his side, which made it all the more painfull also never seeing her again.

Every time he remembered all of this he started crying, it didn't help that as a baby he had way less control over his emotions even tho he tried to hold it in. Which was good in its own way as a non crying baby would probably stand out.

Then there were his best friends ,there were only three of them but that was more than enough as they were true friends always having his back. From drinking together to fighting in bars together ,and offcourse helping oneanother building houses or carrying a fridge to the apartment with beers and video games as payment. They were always there for him if he needed it and he was also there for them, so loosing them aswell wasn't any less painfull than his parents.

He was fond of those memmories and the peopple who helped him out so much throughout his life that he would never forget them.

Even tho he was now called "Teclos" he would also never forget his previous name "David" as it was tied his memmories of who he actually was .

But his new life wasn't that bad either as his new parents weren't bad peopple, altho the wars worried him. He could see how much they cared for him and it showed during the year and a half, from comforting him when he couldn't suppres his emotions, to always trying to feed him and keep him warm.

Making him feel welcome in this new world,

that's why he called them mom and dad aswell in his head because as far as he was concerned he had two sets of parents now. Accepting both Talmir and Saldia as his own

Saldia even reminded him of his previous mom ,from scolding him if he came close to the fire place or knives to holding him in her arms lovingly every time he wanted or cried. It was the same kind of "love" Tara his previous mom showed to him, so he kind of felt blessed when he thought about both of his lives.

Talmir tho was a bit of a clumsy new father , from showing up bloody the very first day to not really knowing how to play with Teclos. They offten started a staring contest in the earlier days ,one portraying a look of "what do you want?" And the other "how do i play with this thing". But he started accepting him once he saw how gentle he was with him , Talmir was like half a bear so with his big build he could easily squash even his former self "David" if he wanted . But when he picked up Teclos he was somehow even more gentle than Saldia sometimes.

So all in all his new world wasn't so bad plus there was magic and mana in it, which he thoroughly planned to explore.

Finnishing her clean up Saldia went to get Teclos and picked him up from his bed only to go towards the book shelf and then back towards her bed. Sitting down with her back on the wall she put him in her lap and covered her self and Teclon with a blanket .

"Lets read a new book today shall we"

"Maa"

Supprised Saldia said,

"Oh are you excited to read books with mommy? This one is called gathering herbs and will be usefull to you somewhere in the future when you're going to be a hunter like your daddy"

Felling generous right now as he was having fond memmories just a few momments ago he supprised her again.

"Mo...mmy"

Instantly she stopped trying to read the book and looked at Teclos with an audible gasp.

"Honey! Did you just say "mommy"? Can you repeat it again? Here repeat it after me M o m m y."

Saying "mommy" slower than usual, Saldia was visibly excited so he thought "why not?" as it is a good day.

"Mommy"

Gasping again Saldia picked him up and jumped out of the bed. She actually started dancing with Teclos leaning on her shoulders.

'Calm down woman im gonna hurl if you do it this fast!'

As Saldia was dancing she said something which made Teclos take pity on Talmir.

"Hahaha im so going to rub it in to Talmirs face when he comes home! Suck on that you looser haha"

Shocked he thought,

'How can you marry this dad? You sure have interesting taste in women Talmir'

Her joy was a bit short lived tho as she noticed a wound on his forearm.

"Oh no honey are you hurting? How did this happen? Were you playing with knives?"

'Uh oh'

Just then a hard banging noise was heard from the door, she looked at the wound one last time making sure he wasn't bleeding, then Saldia shouted .

"Who is it?"

With an immediate response Kosak answered.

"Its me Kosak ,Saldia open the door please!"

As Saldia opened the door with Teclos still in her arms she saw a worried Kosak at the front door.

"Listen Saldia and don't panic but Talmir was heavily wounded. He is going to be allright tho, as he's currently being healed in the church by Father Pella, his life isn't in danger."

Saldia paled a bit,

"What!? What happened? I have to go see him, now!"

Kosak tried to calm Saldia down ,

"Yes i came to pick you up ,just put on some shoes and i'll tell you everything on the way there"
