Chapter 171 Echoes of revenge

Emily was now a shadow of herself. Strangely, after the death of Luna, she seemed to have turned on herself and began going on a hunger strike. The last time something similar happened was back at Ivory High when Slyvia was there for her. Now, unfortunately, everyone was too preoccupied to notice her.

Rose was dealing with her sister being accused of murder, while Slyvia was battling with her blindness and the fate of the world, which was suddenly on her neck. Everyone had their own share of problems, and adding hers would be bothersome, so she carried the weight of it all alone. It suddenly felt like she was abandoned once again, everything she wanted vanishing quickly from her eyes.

Emily looked at the time. At least she had one thing left—to make up for the annual ranking midterm, where her future would be decided, whether she would be offered an opportunity for college or not. This was what Emily wanted, since her unfortunate family wouldn't be able to send her to college. It was time she battled with it, so she carried her anatomy textbook, followed by her biology book, and hurried to class. Her passing depended on this, so she began scribbling down in her notebook at the back of the class, her face devoid of emotions. She was miserable, yes, but she couldn't ruin her future because of this.

Then the haunting noise began.

"Hi, Emily. What are you doing? Go and destroy them. Take your revenge. Don't be a weakling—kill them all, those people that underestimated you. Make them bleed, one by one." The voice whispered in her ear maliciously.

Emily screamed, and the people around turned to her. Seeing that she was acting crazy, Emily dropped her books and hurried to the restroom. She began splashing water on her face, then, facing the mirror, she began crying.

"Leave me alone, please! I just want to study for the midterm, where I can score high for my future." Emily's broken voice echoed.

Then, right in front of her, the mirror began smirking, and the figure of the person she never expected appeared in the mirror instead of her reflection.

"You don't have to worry, Emily. During the eclipse, I will permanently take over your body, and it shall be bloody. First of all, my target is Lamia Alexandria—the person who thinks he can have a happy ending over my dead body. And you, Emily, you betrayed me, but I can't be defeated like that. And for your information, I had a plan B, and here I am. Emily, see you later—permanently."

The reflection finally disappeared, changing to hers quickly, as if it was never there.

Emily began sweating. Lamia? No! She can't let me get destroyed. But wasn't he immortal now? How was Abigail planning that? No matter what, Lamia isn't getting hurt.

Meanwhile, Asher and Rose were still discussing. They were still at the clinic, and Rose was recounting what led to her expulsion.

"Asher, mine was so intentional. I never wanted to stay in that school anymore—their activities disgust me. And the rich kids there love molestations. They gang-raped some of the ladies. Why? Just because they didn't agree to be their friends. And you know the type of friendship I meant." Rose's face was so serious, it appeared she was still mad.

Asher was troubled mentally. Even if he didn't show it, he was pretty sure this might warrant another expulsion, and there was nothing he could do about it. What would he tell them? That his parents were trying to protect him, that's why he disguised himself as a girl? Would they even care to listen?

"Of course, friends with benefits." Asher concurred, and Rose nodded, pleased that Asher understood her.

"Then one day, when one of the leaders of the group of boys came to me, I took advantage of that and knocked him hard at his dick." Rose then let out a dark smile while remembering the scene.

Asher flinched. Oh my, that would have been so painful. In fact, it would be hell. Was the guy even okay?

"Yes, I know you're shocked. I crushed his manhood, and with it, I am confident that anytime he sees ladies, he will run the other way. The motherfucker's dick was gone, and he was bleeding so badly that the school authorities became involved. Due to the bleeding being intense, after medication and treatment, it was obvious that he wouldn't birth a child in his lifetime again. And that was pretty satisfying." Rose's malicious smile grew wider and more intense.

Asher couldn't even speak. It appeared that for her to be expelled the second time at her other school, she must have done something even worse.

"Hmm, thanks. I don't even want to know what you did the second time." Asher was trying to digest the news when two staff members came before them.

"Rose and Nadine—or Asher, whatever your name is—Principal Ken is calling for you."

Asher's face twitched. He guessed this was it. He might never go to school again. This time, not only for deception, but he was also charged with murder. And Rose might even be punished for defamation of both Ava and Rowan.

"Rose, what are we going to tell them? This is obviously it—we are getting expelled. Why am I saying 'we'? I am getting expelled. Mom is gonna be so mad." Asher exclaimed in horror.

Rose seemed undisturbed. She dusted her white gown, carried her white handbag, and walked majestically to the office with Asher trailing behind.

"Rose, I am asking you—we need a plan, please. I don't want to leave. Even though the school is mysterious, I really have to find out what caused Luna's death. I can't go just like that." Asher was shaking, his resolve breaking.

But what he saw made his face harden.

Ava was coming in with Rowan and Simon, and they looked furious. Ava, on the other hand, looked defeated. It seemed she had been crying for a long time. Rose really did destroy her life and future, because all this while, he hadn't seen Ava parading up and down with her clique. Even though it was satisfying, Asher just couldn't imagine what the poor girl must be feeling. But to hell with them—she didn't give a fuck about their thoughts. Her top priority was getting out of the mess before her, and to do that, she needed a plan.

Rose's confidence made Asher sigh. Why wasn't she worried? Those three could manipulate the principal, or couldn't they? And she was pretty sure Ken Waters was a siren—doesn't that make all of this even scarier?

So, the door to the office opened, and Rose and Asher entered. What Asher saw made him suspicious. Zeke was sitting opposite Ken Waters, and from their faces, it seemed they were having a deep and serious conversation.

Asher stopped, and Zeke, at that moment, stood up.

"I think I am done here, Principal. So, sir, will the best of you follow suit with my request?"

Zeke's voice came naturally, almost like a calm storm. Asher looked at Zeke's back, and before Zeke left, he winked at Asher.

Asher's eyes turned back to the principal. Is it just her, or did Zeke just threaten the principal? What! And he left as if it was nothing.

By then, Rowan, Simon, and Ava were already seated in the office. Rose and Asher joined them but sat opposite them.

"So, I heard about what happened—how Asher here was accused of murder by you guys, who suddenly took the law into your hands." Ken pointed at Rowan and Simon, who bowed their heads in shame.

"So, we did an investigation, and they were innocent. So you disobeyed the rules, and once again, your names have entered the black book of Paradise. So, Rowan and Simon, for attacking your fellow students and destroying some school properties, you have been suspended for the time being until two weeks after midterm."

Rowan froze. Simon knew what was happening, then he voiced out.

"What about Asher? I am sure you saw what happened! She lied, and Rose—that bitch—interfered also."

Simon spoke with malice, glaring at the two siblings intensely. The latter, Rose, wasn't bothered. She watched the drama silently, while Asher's eyes were on Ava, who was quiet.

"Are you challenging me Simon I said you both are suspended and about the disguise it's not that bad so that doesn't give you the right to bully your classmates and by this the law of the school will prevail."

" And Ava you will spend one week of detention Rose and Asher we are so sorry about this so you all can go." Ken declared.

Asher was shocked beyond measures what the go like that? then this only proves that Ezekiel did something but why? and what could it be that made Ken Waters follow suit? Rose on the other hand didn't care she just walked out followed by Ava but Rowan dragged the girl by the corner.

" What do you want you're hurting me Rowan please leave me I am been ridiculed and humiliated because of you Rowan and now I never want to set my eyes on you so leave."

Ava declared

" Don't you want revenge on the girl that destroyed your image let's give her a present she will never forget me and my boys will handle it I won't go down alone and I am gonna do this before I leave Paradise." Ava face dropped, Rowan eyes gleamed with pure evil oh no what's he up to this time around.
