Chapter 181 : Strange Girl

Shika sat on the couch, his arms crossed as he observed the girl who was now casually pouring tea in her apartment. She saved him from the clutches of those higher-ups, Shika had no idea why they let him go just becuase she intervened but it was due to her that he could escape from revealing his powers to Naobito Zenin. He had no idea why she had helped him, but one thing was clear—she wasn't ordinary.

'Now that I think about it, I feel like someone was trailing me back then…' Shika can't help but think as he saw the girl.

The moment she brought him here, he realized she was part of this world's strange system. Who else would have enough power to just take him away like that?

Both Gojo and Naobito looked surprised seeing her for some reason. It didn't feel like they were afraid of her, nor it was a look of respect. Whatever it was, that surprised look on their face made Shika confirm that this girl here was no ordinary person.

A sorcerer, maybe? He wasn't sure. But what really unsettled him was that he couldn't recall anyone like her from the anime. No matter how hard he tried to remember, she didn't fit anywhere.

For a brief moment, he had even worried about the worst possibility—Kenjaku. But there were no stitches on her head, so at least he could rule that out. Still, that didn't mean she wasn't dangerous.

"You're staring too much," Izumi spoke, smirking as she sat across from him. Yup, this was the same girl from the morning. Who would have thought that that encounter wasn't normal?

To Shika, she seems like just any normal girl, but guess he was too inexperienced…

Shika didn't respond to her right away. He leaned back slightly, keeping his expression neutral. "Are you a Jujutsu Sorcerer?" That was the first thing he asked, really curious about who she was.

"Nope…" Izumi replied came quick and direct.

"Why did they listen to you then ?" Shika continued.

"My Clan…" Izumi answered but it was short, barely explaining things.

"What's your name ?"

"You'll know soon enough, let's leave a few things for future surprises…" Izumi teased with a grin as she took a sip of her tea.

'Hmmm….

"Why help me out ?" Shika upon not getting the answer didn't falter and continued to ask.

Izumi had a smile. "You look like family…"

"Huh ?" Shika didn't get it at all, was she thinking of him as someone else?

She only helped her becuase he looked like family, Shika didn't buy it. He had been cautious ever since he arrived in this world, and now he was in a place where he had no knowledge of how things worked.

Even against Gojo, he was confident enough to not die outright due to him having the knowledge, but he knew nothing about her.

Unlike the Naruto world, where he at least had a clear understanding of power levels and abilities, this place was all over the place.

A person could be weak, worse than a normal civilian if fate had it against them, or they could be a literal god. There were no clear limits. All sorts of abilities existed, and he had no way of knowing what Izumi was capable of.

"What do you want from me ?" he finally asked.

Izumi smiled. "Nothing… though I would love it if you came and visited my clan once in a while"

'Said the girl who didn't even say her full name…' Shika sighed, he didn't feel any hostility but this situation didn't make sense to his Nara brain at all.

"Maybe, but for the time being if you don't have anything for me to do then I'd like to take my leave…" Shika said, not planning on staying in this apartment for any longer.

Izumi raised an eyebrow. "Leaving so quick, sigh, I thought we were friends."

Shika didn't confirm or deny it. He had nothing to do with this world period, though it sounded cool to him about traveling to another world and get strong but he was contained with this life. As long as he could protect his home which for him now was the Naruto world, he was fine.

He had no great ambition and honestly, he was pretty lazy too. This world was cool and all but he didn't think he would be coming back here again.

"Maybe we can be friends the next time we meet…" Shika just waved as he stood up.

Izumi, however, didn't seem bothered, in fact, she almost gave a big smile. "Okay, remember it's a promise. I'll hold you onto it…."

Shika narrowed his eyes slightly. Those words sounded obnoxious to him for some reason.

[Jujustu Head Quaters]

The news of Izumi taking Shika away reached the higher-ups quickly, hell it was Gojo himself who delivered the news personally just so that he could see their faces. The old men, who already had little patience, were furious.

SLAM!

A hand slammed against the table in the dimly lit meeting room where a man sat behind the curtains. One of the elders, his face lined with age and frustration, scowled. "This is unacceptable! No matter who that boy was, how can she just walk in and take him like that from the Jujustu Tech?!"

Another elder gritted his teeth. "That clan has never interfered with Jujutsu affairs before. Why now?!"

"I knew we couldn't let them go just like that. We should have sent Sorcerers to take them out…" Shouted another man from behind the curtain.

"NO… it would be too costly and none of the sorcerers below grade 1 will be any match to them."

"They will outnumber us like the last time. Without the support of the major three clans, we can't wipe them out, We'll be lacking in top fighting power in that regard. And without a very good reason, none of the clan will participate and send their stronger Sorcerer."

"Then send those Special grades…what about Gojo Satoru." Another man shouted with irritation.

"You know better than me to ask a question like that. Without something big, we can't do anything."

"This could set a dangerous precedent," a third elder added. "For years, they've remained neutral. If they're starting to act now, it could disrupt the balance of power."

"That outsider, who is he exactly? If it made Izumi make a move then we need to determine his origins, his abilities, and his affiliations!"

Murmurs of agreement filled the room. The Jujutsu Society functioned on strict rules and outside interference—especially from a clan that remained dormant for a decade without interfering with the Jujutsu world even once... This certainly would shift the balance of power somewhere…

"The years of silence and now they act… Damn those Ninjas.
