Chapter 80

Harper led Wyatt back to her room in the Knight Pack, helping him ease onto the sofa.

His arm was wrapped in a sling and covered in gauze. She started to peel off his blood-stained clothes to check if the bandages needed to be changed.

Wyatt's eyes softened when he saw Harper's cautious gaze. She unbuttoned his shirt and helped him take it off, not failing to notice the toned muscles of his biceps. Despite being wrapped in bandages, he still had his chiseled masculinity. He was completely and utterly beautiful.

"Please don't be so reckless next time," Harper muttered. "You can't do anything now that you're injured."

Wyatt sighed.

"I know. I don't think I can even properly eat or shower after this one."

Harper's eyes brimmed with tears as Wyatt cupped her cheeks.

"But it was worth it to keep you safe," he said gently. "Harper, you have to listen to me. I need to explain something."
