Chapter 84

Harper couldn't tell if Wyatt' negotiations were convincing enough, but the mayor had a complete change in attitude.

He was much more kind and respectful to them than before because, after their conversation, the mayor understood one thing: Wolfstone was not the only option for the River Bed Pack.

They could have chosen any other picturesque place to develop. But they knew that Wolfstone's citizens were being relocated. This was their only chance to keep their land.

Harper sat down as Annie quickly wiped her hands with a moist towelette. She slowly and methodically wiped Harper's fingers, moving her bracelet to expose her delicate wrist.

Wyatt frowned when he saw the mayor's gaze fixed on Harper's wrist. However, the mayor's next sentence threw him off.

"That bracelet marks Knight Pack's next Alpha," the mayor suddenly remarked.

Harper froze and then quickly shook her head. "That's not true. I'm just the goddaughter of Alpha Caesar, not the next Alpha of the Knight Pack."
