Chapter 87

It wasn't long until evening arrived.

After Harper had completely regained her composure, Jaylani dragged her to the town square, and when they arrived, the place was filled with the aroma of roasted meat.

"Wow, it smells so delicious!" Jaylani exclaimed as she looked at the spread of food. "I love barbecued meat." She then glanced at Harper and noticed her friend's forlorn expression. "Harper, what's wrong? Why do you look so serious?"

Harper shook her head and said, "I don't think it's the right time to talk about it, but I promise I'll tell you later. I heard that Ash was also coming, though. Do you know when he'll be here?"

The smile on Jaylani's face disappeared for a moment. "Let's not talk about him. I wanted to see if there was a handsome guy at the bonfire tonight. If there is, I'll bring him straight to my room, and we'll have some fun. But, if Ash comes, my plans will be completely ruined."
