Chapter 97

She and the girls took a taxi back to the Green Moss Packhouse.

Just as they approached the packhouse door, they saw the Gamma, a few police officers, and the elders from the Pack surrounding Rita. They seemed to be deep in conversation. Once Harper stepped out of the car, she caught their attention.

"Harper? You're back!" Gamma Edward said to Harper. "When was the last time you saw Alpha Ivan?"

"Today," Harper replied. "What happened to my dad?"

"He was attacked. Deep gouges on his chest as if he'd been raked with sharp claws. He died of blood loss," the police officer answered.

Harper sucked in a breath.

How did that happen?

Della and Jaylani's eyes widened in disbelief. They had just seen him today.

Although Harper hated Alpha Ivan, she never wanted him to die like that. She took a deep breath before responding.

"Can you give me more details?"

Gamma Edward nodded, and Annie helped Harper sit down in a chair while she listened carefully to him recount events.
