Harper turned to open the door, but it wouldn't budge.

"Without my fingerprint, no one else can enter this room. And no one can get out, either." The captain smiled lazily at her. "Can't we just have a nice chat before you leave?"

Harper turned around and looked at the captain in surprise.

What was he trying to do?

The room was simple, and the captain pulled out two small chairs from the side, inviting Harper to take a seat.

After hesitating a bit, Harper sighed and decided to see what his intentions were. She was suspicious of him, and her instincts told her there was something more to all this. She would follow her gut.

The captain had the highest authority on the ship, so as a passenger, Harper couldn't argue with him.

The captain saw Harper pondering in her chair, and he sat down as well, crossing his long legs.
