"I will tell you everything I know under one condition." The captain's smirk grew into a smile. "I want you to have dinner with me right now."

Harper was silent for a moment, not knowing whether to say yes or not. The captain's soft laughter resounded in her ears. "I'll take your silence as yes, darling. You've completely taken a piece of my heart."

Harper sat up in her plush white chair and reached for the knife and fork, slowly cutting the food in front of her. She would accept the captain's deal in exchange for as much information as she wanted.

A gust of wind blew and made the flowers sway. Harper could smell their fragrant scents and began to eat her steak. She stuffed large chunks into her mouth, trying to finish this bizarre dinner as quickly as possible.

Flowers, atmosphere, and dinner were all romantic and would win anyone's heart. But Harper wondered how many women the captain had seduced with this technique.
