FAYE'S POV
A strong bitter taste filled my mouth, and pain invaded every nerve in my body.
My body convulsed, and I couldn't help but release agonized cries.
The maids' fingers pinched and twisted my face, causing me even more pain. I waved my hand to push her away, accidentally dropping the bowl, which shattered into countless pieces on the ground.
I desperately scratched at my throat with my fingers, attempting to vomit out the pills, but it was in vain.
My heart shattered like the broken bowl, and tears blurred my vision.
No! My child! I promised to protect him!
Fear compelled me to struggle to stand and approach Timerante. It was heartbreaking that even now, my instincts were still calling out to him for help, but I didn't have another way out.
"Help... Save our child..."
My legs weakened with pain, causing them to tremble, as my gaze remained fixed on Timerante's eyes.
At that moment, I thought I detected panic and astonishment in his eyes.
"It hurts so much!"
