Chapter 118 Shelter

TIMERANTE'S POV

"Madam, stop your useless struggle. I have something to ask you."

I walked towards Faye, trying to restore my usual indifference. I gave a glance to the guard next to her and asked him to hand over the cloak.

"Put it on, put away your wolf, and talk to me in human form."

Although I had too many misunderstandings about Faye in the past, I knew she wouldn't really do anything to kill me. At least after the impulse just now passed, she should be able to calm down.

Fortunately, she took the cloak without any accident and listened to me and resumed her human form.

However, her expression as she stood far away and looked at me was so indifferent that even the undisguised hatred made me feel so sad that I wanted to kill myself.

I repeatedly cursed my own stupidity and silently apologized to her in my heart.

But on the surface, I still had to maintain my image.
