The sight of his former teammate, now wearing the blue and white colors of Shinkai High, sent a wave of surprise through him. He hadn't seen this person in over a year, not since everything had changed for him—since he had walked away from football after his injury. But there was no mistaking the determined expression and the unmistakable presence on the field.

"Is that...?" Sota muttered under his breath, barely able to believe what he was seeing.
