Enzo scratched his head. Port was acting like Enzo had won the lottery. He wasn't quite sure why his [Void Dragon Emperor's Aura] skill was anything particularly special.
He knew the reason why his [Void Dragon Emperor's Body] was amazing, having already experienced the amazing benefits elements could do for his fighting in the Dragon Tower.
"What is special about the aura skill?"
Port was so deep in his ramblings, that he froze and took a minute to reorient himself and reply.
Port took a long look at Enzo and said, "I'll explain, but let's go use your reward while I do. There's no sense in wasting time."
'Not with a deadline like the one we have,' Port thought.
With a swift motion, Port grabbed Enzo's arm and disappeared.
A moment later, the duo reappeared in an open room with a lake so cold that Enzo could feel a chill run down his spine, and he wasn't even within 100 meters (328 ft) of the lake.
There were other things in the room, but Enzo's brain refused to focus on them as he felt Port dragging him closer and closer toward the lake.
"H-Hey, man. I thought we'd be training. What's this lake got to do with anything? Am I training my cold resistance? Am I doing a fancy ice plunge? I don't think the health benefits matter to me anymore."
Enzo's instincts feared the cold that seemed to seep into his very bones, and he hadn't even touched the water yet.
His teeth were chattering, and he was shivering uncontrollably.
"Ignore the cold. You wanted to learn why the aura was important, right? The aura skill might not seem like much at first glance, but pull up the description and read it out loud."
Enzo did.
"[Void Emperor's Aura: Exudes an Aura of suppression, making any Dragon or the Dragon races allies, subservient to you (Only within your Tier and below)]."
Enzo kept his teeth from chattering and looked at Port, waiting.
The small man just kept dragging Enzo closer and closer towards the lake making Enzo's body start to become hard to move.
Enzo tried to rub his hands together and blow hot air, but when his breath exited his mouth, it turned into snow.
His throat was no longer working so he could only pray Port didn't wish any harm on him.
Port spoke directly into Enzo's mind. "The Dragon Clan has no allies, as you can see on the Clan Page. Can you guess what that means?"
(A/N: If you see speech in italics, that means it's mental communication.)
Enzo pulled up his Clan page, which didn't show him a lot.
------------------
Clan: Dragon Clan
Clan Tier: Tier-9
Members: 1,216
Alliances: None
Blood Enemies: The Conglomerate (Tier-9), Deep Sea Coalition (Tier-9), Counsil of 13 (Tier-9), Primal Pack (Tier-9), The NasDex Empire (Tier-8), Sunkin Bandit Group (Tier-8)…
Planets Under Control: 3
Resource Generation: 1.19 Primordial Source Stones/year, 548 Mithril/year, 1.29 Million Gold/year
Primordial Source Stones: 61.25
------------------
Enzo hadn't looked at the Clan page many times since Port hadn't been keen to share any information with him, but it looked like he would finally get some answers.
Since this wasn't his first time using mental communication, he responded to Port with his mind. "I guess since we're a Tier-9 Clan, we get privileges like mental communication. That's good to know."
Port snorted. "No. I can because I'm a Tier-8 being, and you can because of your overpowered aura skill."
Enzo's mind froze. No, it was not due to the cold that seemed to seep into his very soul now; it was due to what Port had just said.
"You're a Tier-8?! An Immortal?!"
Enzo was no longer calm. Sure, he saw that his Clan was Tier-9.
Yes, he knew that Port was strong. Far stronger than him.
Yes, he knew that he would become someone strong too, if he survived long enough.
But actually being able to interact and talk to a Tier-8 being was something he had a hard time wrapping his mind around. Someone who could destroy planets was his butler?!
'Oh fuck! Is he mad at me?' Enzo thought. He tried to recall all his interactions with the old midget.
'He doesn't seem that bad. Hopefully, he doesn't blow up Earth.' He mentally shrugged.
Since he couldn't stop Port from doing what he wanted, he might as well not worry about what he couldn't control.
Port seemed amused by Enzo's reaction. "The reason why the [Void Dragon Emperor's Aura] skill is good is because the Dragons are one of the four Primordial races."
"Although we have no allies in terms of the system Clan, according to our bloodline, and thus your skill, a fourth of the races alive are our allies."
Enzo took a moment to let those words sink in. "Your saying that- FUCK!"
Not paying attention to his surroundings, Enzo hadn't noticed the fact that they had already arrived before the lake, and Port had unceremoniously thrown Enzo face-first into the lake.
"Hope you survive, pup. Good luck in the Lake of Icy Hell!" Port called out, then pulled out his trusty, paper-wrapped bottle, and started to sing a song.
"Swimming in the icy lake."
"I don't know if he'll be okay."
"Got me a bottle of ice-cold beer."
"I sure hope that he won't turn queer."
Enzo's vision started to fade, as his lungs reflexively sucked in a mouthful of the lake's freezing water.
