The priest’s voice was grim. "Because they defy the gods. They summon horrors that devour worlds. It is not just power—it is corruption given form."  

A student hesitated. "But could one not use that power for—"  

“Silence!” The priest’s eyes burned with fervor. “There is no redemption for a summoner. And now, they speak of the worst of them all—a Summoner of Shadows. A heretic who will plunge the world into eternal darkness. He is the epitome of evil, and when he rises, he will destroy us all.”

The Extra System: Summoner of Shadows

Cedric rode the wave of shadows as he rushed toward the altar. Although he managed to glimpse a desperate Ember fleeing them, the distance between them was still more than a few kilometers.

The shadow beneath his feet turned into a wave that allowed him to surf his way toward the altar. At the same time, more shadows rose to hinder him, growing stronger every time he defeated a group.

There were nineteen of them awaiting his arrival. Cedric would have to stop if he did not defeat them while on the run. Therefore, he turned his sword into a bow again and began launching his shadow.
