"Does that really matter?" asked Ba'dqeel raising his eyebrow as Axis just walked into his office. He gestured for the other male to sit down before pointing to his ear.
Axis nodded and made himself comfortable, his eyes narrowing on the Nycteromyian.
"I don't know, how much does your life matter to you?" came the reply. By now, Ba'dqeel was certain he had never heard the voice before, and yet, it seemed like it knew everything about him.
"Not nearly as much as her," shrugged Ba'dqeel comfortably. Axis' eyes narrowed on the male as he listened to only one side of the conversation.
"I am nothing more than a weapon at her disposal, should she ask," he continued meeting Axis' eyes. The other male nodded his head in agreement.
"Good answer," sighed the voice over the comms. This time, Axis was able to hear both sides as a voice managed to infiltrate his private comms as well. "I assume you are another mate?"
