Running Out Of Time

The days seemed to blend into one another as Ma'stbaut and I settled into an easy pace. It honestly felt like I had known him for my entire life, and I ended up telling him things that I had never told anyone before.

He showed me around the castle, and there were so many rooms that I really couldn't keep track of them all. But my favorite one, hands down, was the massive library that spanned the height of three floors with staircases and ladders to help you access the upper shelves.

There was only one white chair in the room in front of a massive fireplace, but Ma'stbaut didn't seem to mind. He sat down in front of the chair, resting his head on my lap as I read to him. I didn't understand the majority of books, but some, up on the third floor in the corner, seemed to be written in Ethawainian.

It was a mixture of Middle English and Modern English, and while I might have stumbled over a few words, I don't think either one of us cared.
