Greetings at the Exam

"Mana is the main source of life. There are four different types of mages."

First, there are Elemental Magic Users. Mages who call upon the fundamentals of magic. Fire, Water, Terra, Ventus, Ice, and Thunder. However, others use weapons that extend and enhance their mana, called Enhance Magic Users. These mages use weapons to fight. Some may argue they shouldn't be fighting like that and be more traditional mages. However, the Sword Heavenly Mage was a Magic Enhance User, so that's where most arguments end. Moving on, Unique Magic user mages use unique magic that isn't the common elements, such as Plasma, Bubble, Gravity, Sound, Poison, Star, Sun, Moon, and more. Scholars theorized that Unique Magic Users were deprived of the original Elemental Magics. Finally, Soul/Spirit Creature Magic User or the rarest type of magic user. These mages have animals or familiars to instill their mana; they can transform into that particular creature or summon and call upon a beast.

Headmasters Quarters Ardian Magic Academy

KNOCK

KNOCK

"Headmaster, the representatives for the Four Royal Families are here."

"They may come in."

"Hmm, I wasn't expecting to see you here; I thought the representatives were told to come," the headmaster speaks.

"Pardon me for my sudden intrusion. I prefer to see my Royal Unit handpicked in person." Selene says with Justus by her side.

"If the Princess insists on endangering his well-being," a young stoic male cautions.

"Hey, if she wants to be here, she wants to be here, no questioning her decision," another young man speaks with a lax tone.

"As long as she has her family responsible for protecting her," a young lady adds.

"If you prefer that way, your highness. The exam will be starting soon. I've told them about another added rule." the Headmaster speaks.

East Entrance to Ardian Academy Forest

"Found anyone, Ezra?" a girl with long pale blue hair asks.

"Oh, perfect, that girl right there." A tall young man with medium-length black hair that resembles an overgrown wavy mullet, somewhat overgrown messy bangs separated in the middle, and blue eyes complementing them.

{Novice Mage:Ezra Williams}

"Why do you always insist on this plan?" a young girl with silver hair asks.

"C'mon, you have to think someone will have to help a distressed girl."

"How long can you maintain someone's form again?" A young boy with blonde hair asks.

"5 minutes is my new max."

"And what do you want us to do?"

"Blamore will lay traps on me and around me. Zyla will use her magic, and the action will be immediately done. And you, Sienna, will get me out of the traps. Sound like a plan?"

"Argh all right we'll do it"

"Just tell me what traps and where to put them I got you"

"Let's just hope someone will fall for this Ezra."

South Entrance to the Ardian Forest

Quinton looks down on a recovering Axelle and Ambrose.

"Axelle?" a familiar voice calls.

"Quinton! It's good to see you."

"You as well rough morning?"

"Yeah, you can kinda say that." Axelle slowly turns to Vince, quietly sitting on a nearby tree branch. "Vince," he says in an irritated voice.

Vince shrugs his shoulders. "We got here in time, didn't we?"

"This is the guy you were talking about, Quinton," a young man beside Quinton speaks. He is a young man with normal skin and light gray hair who stands tall and has a slim build. He has dark yellow eyes. On the right side of his face, his short, loosely spiked hair is swept forward and left long.

"This is the friend I spoke to you about, Grant Crawford," Quinton speaks.

"Axelle Alekzander, nice to meet you," Axelle introduces himself.

Grant shakes Axelles hand. "It's a pleasure to meet one of the Heavenly Mage Candidates."

"I shall never travel like that again," Ambrose comes popping out.

"Ambrose Rossi," Quinton says softly as he moves closer.

"It's an honor to meet you, Mr.Rossi."

Ambrose shakes their hands. "Fine to meet you as well. And please, you can call me Ambrose. I prefer it that way. If my memory serves correctly, you two are Quinton and Grant?"

"You know of us?" Grant surprised.

"My father told me about two mages who were interested in advancing the world as we know it using science and electricity."

"It's an honor to be known by the Rossi Family." Quinton nods.

"Thank you for looking into our research," Grant adds.

"My father wished to speak with you but is currently busy. With other issues."

"No worries."

MURMUR

A group of mages gather together.

"What with all that commotion?"

"Oh, it's just another known person."

"It started with us two, and a couple of people came to see us admiring our desires and impressed with our skills."

"Who is it this time?"

"I hear a water mage, another Heavenly Mage Candidate like you two."

"Water Heavenly Mage Candidate?" Axelle thinks to himself. "Wait," wasting little time, he sprinted to the center of attention.

"Axelle wait up" Ambrose follows Axelle.

"Humph," Vince gets off the tree branch.

"Who are you friend?" Quinton asks.

"Trust me, you don't want to know," Vince responds with a cold tone.

"Intriguing fellow," Grant says.

"Wind magic. Hmm," Quinton wonders.

"What is it?"

"Must be my imagination," Quinton

"Too much thinking. We have to stay relaxed. We have an exam ahead of us, old friend."

"Indeed we do, so let's focus on that."

"That's what we forgot, Quinton?"

"What?"

"To ask if they wanted to pair together to make a group of five."

"Ah yes, a missed opportunity. No worries, we can easily make a group. Let's see, how about those two gentlemen standing on the side over there?"

"We can try Quinton"

"We'll be paired with people who don't have partners anyway. We have to try"

"Bri," Axelle makes his way through the crowd.

He spots a girl with fuchsia hair with split bangs reaching her chest, brown eyes, a slender body figure, and a large bust. She is wearing a backless, sleeveless white gown with a light design of waves near the edges, a dark blue belt, light blue thigh-high stockings with a yellow portion at the top, and short black boots with a white heel cap.

"Bri!" Axelle yells out.

The crowd stops there, collaborating, and stares at Axelle.

"Bri?" the girl says.

"My name is Giori Hannon, Heavenly Mage Candidate," the girl states.

"Dammit, that's right, there isn't just one candidate for the elements. There can be multiple," Axelle thinks to himself. "My apologizes I have-"

"Axelle," Ambrose calls out. Vince slowly followed behind but did not go too close to draw attention to himself.

"Why did you just jolt off like that?" Ambrose says.

"Wait, is that Ambrose Rossi?" "The Ambrose Rossi?" "The Son of the War Hero Galen?" "The only known candidate for the Heavenly Blade?" "No doubt with the signature Rossi hair."

The girls begin to horde around Ambrose like a pack of wolves.

"Time to get out of here," Vince says as he flies back to the trees.

"Good to meet you all," Ambrose says nervously.

"Please be a part of our group." "Join our group." "You're so muscular in person." He's so handsome." "He is like a walking work of art."

"Isn't that Axelle Alekzander, the Prince of the Primordial Flame?" "That hair," Those fiery, fierce eyes," "That sword as well."

"Fiery, fierce eyes, that's a new one," Axelle thinks.

This crowd, unlike Ambrose, admired Axelle from afar as if they saw fire for the first time.

"Too many people staring at me."

WHIRL

"Cold?"

Vince rubs his arms. "Damn, the wind got cold."

STEP STEP STEP

A young woman with medium-length black to platinum blonde ombre hair and bangs split into both sides. It has a light blue iris, is tall, and has bangs divided on both sides. She arrives at the exam wearing an all-white militaristic uniform with gold buttons, long black shoes that reach her thighs, and a gold belt.

"It's the Ice Princess," the crowd murmurs.

"Roxanne Pierce"

Everyone makes way and steers clear of Roxanne as she walks through the crowd of mages with a cold, stern expression.

"Roxanne," Ambrose speaks amongst the silence that filled the air.

"Ambrose," she answers in a cold voice.

"It's been years since we last saw each other."

"Yes, it has been"

"How have you been?"

"Been doing fine."

"I am sorry to hear about your father."

"It's fine."

"So, has Lady Lumina been training you?"

Roxanne pauses as she takes a moment to answer.

"Mother has taken many precautions to train me and perfect my magic."

"Perfect?"

She looks around the area.

"Seems like no one here really suits my skills besides you."

Giori steps through the crowd. "Huh, what did you-" a girl with blonde hair and purple eyes holds her back.

"Giori, it is not worth it," she says.

"But"

"It's not worth it. Giori backs off." A tall young man with spikey hair and red eyes pulls her other arm.

"You'll be at an elemental disadvantage anyway." a young man with messy black hair and glasses warns her.

"Trust me," the blonde girl again says.

"Ok, whatever you see, I'll believe."

"Does that mean you'll join our group?" Ambrose asks.

"To pass this exam, I need a group, no?" Roxanne responds.

"You're right."

"Then let's proceed with your group," she orders as she stands with her arms crossed.

"What the problem with her?" Axelle asks himself.

"Ugh, this is going to be a headache," Vince says.

"She's changed," Ambrose says to himself.

"Hello everyone," a voice says from above.

Everyone looks above.

"Welcome to," the voice says behind the group.

"The Ardian Magic Academy Entrance Exam," the mysterious man suddenly appears in the front. He's a fair-skinned man with short black hair, tiny streaks of white hair, bangs hanging over his eyebrows, and brown eyes. He wears a unique half-black half-white shirt with flipped colors for his pants."

"I am Sean Basal, one of the Eight Grand Magisters at Ardian Magic Academy. The Aeon Magic User of Illusions. I shall be the Exam Instructor for today" he smiles with a smile.
