Chapter 25

"Sir Kamakura, I am just an ordinary Young Member of the clan, you can just speak casually to me," Kayn said with a contorted smile.

Kamakura, Elder Setsuna's housekeeper/bodyguard/butler, is just as influential as the Elder himself in the Uchiha Clan. So seeing such an individual treat him like he's the owner of this house or something, left Kayn with quite an unexplainable feeling.

Not in a good way.

"Please follow me." Unfortunately for him, it seems that the butler ignored his words.

Although some might not get why Kayn was making a big deal out of it, one has to understand that before getting Isekai'd, he was just your typical Asian kid who was taught always to respect the elders.

As much as Kayn wanted to integrate with his current life now, doing it is easier than done. The memories of the original body were just partially integrated into him. Most of it simply flashed into his mind.

Heck, just earlier, he was loudly voicing his frustration because of the fact that toilet seats with advanced bidets don't exist here. Now he cannot take a sh*t with the same comfort anymore.

Overall, that's pretty much the reason why it's uncomfortable for him when there's an old man thrice his age, who speaks to him with a polite tone. It just sounds so wrong.

Kamakura, seeing Kayn's expression, made a subtle gesture and said "You are too humble. Setsuna-sama thinks highly of you, so it's only natural that I, as someone who serves him, will treat you as such. "

"Still, Sir Kamakura, speak casually whenever we are alone at least. Otherwise, you will make me feel uncomfortable."

Looking at the old butler's expression, Kayn can already tell that he's not the only one who knows stubbornness. That's why, he didn't wait for a response anymore.

He quickly shifted the topic.

"Sir Kamakura, can I ask for your assistance? I'm actually in need of help with my training. It's been a while since I moved my body you see."

Although the original owner of Kayn's body was not a veteran, he did have rich practical experience.

But as mentioned earlier, most of the memories Kayn received were just a flash in his mind. Although he felt as if he was actually there, there was still always a layer of separation.

That's why he needs someone to guide him and also a sparring partner to transform the combat experience accumulated by the original body into his own!

Kamakura said generously "No problem. If you think I can be of help, who am I to refuse."

After that, the two would proceed to continue their way toward their destination.

Once they finally arrived, Kayn couldn't help himself but exclaim out loud "Woah"

When Elder Setsuna said that they would only be at the back of his house, Kayn already expected to see just a small pot of land where he could bounce around a little.

He definitely did not expect such a vast space. It is even connected to a nearby forest, adding more possibilities for the type of training he was thinking of.

There was also a cozy-looking house at one corner. However, looking at it carefully, it is noticeably smaller compared to a normal house.

It's even debatable if it's actually a house or just a hut.

But one fact remains. It can definitely house one person and is much better looking than Kayn's old house despite its size.

"Kayn, Setsuna-sama said that this is where you would live from now on. Although it doesn't look that much, inside it has all the things you would need for your everyday life." Kamakura said as he handed the key to the 'house'. Then he added...

"In the morning, I would instruct someone to do the work in your house. So you can just ignore the menial tasks and simply focus on your training."

"When it comes to your financial needs, Setsuna-sama said that you don't need to worry anymore. That's why, whenever you require money, just tell us. As long as it is reasonable, we will give it to you as an allowance."

Kayn almost gasped, feeling somewhat shocked.

Free house, money, and training assistance?

He's already pretty much set for the long run. He wouldn't worry about anything anymore... That is if this kind of treatment of him continues.

Kayn is not that naive, he is pretty aware that one wrong move on his part and all of this would turn to dust.

"Sir Kamakura, please tell Elder Setsuna that I will do my best to never let him and the clan down."

"I will convey it to Setsuna-sama later."

Kamakura said with a small smile. But that didn't last for long because, true to his character, he quickly got back to the main topic "It just so happens that I'm free of my schedule for today. So If you need help with something right now..."

Kayn's eyes lit up. He indeed needs some help right now. A lot of it.

His cheat is a system that he designed for the protagonist of the new book he was planning to make before he got Isekai'd in this world.

However, the plot of that book was still in the early works. Meaning, that the actual features of the system itself were still roughly outlined, and Kayn didn't manage to finish that part of the story before getting transported.

So overall, even though he created it, he still has to confirm some specific characteristics first before he can be 100 percent sure about the system.

But as much as he wanted to go to do it all already, he couldn't. He's still on a tight schedule now. He cannot just wildly appease every curiosity he has.

He's not at that point yet.

That's why he gotta focus first on the most important aspect of the system itself.

First is how to obtain experience points. The second is probably about the Skill level itself.

Now, the first one that needs to be addressed, is gaining exp.

There are a couple of things that Kayn found already actually.

The first one is probably the most obvious.

As long as you train or do actions that are closely related to a specific skill, it will gain experience.

In Kayn's opinion, this kind of exp-gaining method has ups and downs.

The ups are, that every effort is rewarded. And since the exp gain is stable as well, it wouldn't stagnate as long as he worked hard for it.

The downside, however, is that it is too damn stable!

Well, being stable is normally good. But the pace of the exp increase of the system is so naturally slow. That is not a good time to have some stability.

Kayn is typically not a greedy guy. He's the type that usually works with whatever he has.

But with his current situation, he must maximize the efficiency of every minute and every second. And to do that, he has no choice but to seek more.

And that he did. Because, thanks to these past few days of tinkering, and trying lots of new things, he managed to realize a new way of gaining exp.

A much more effective one.

Well, it isn't that big of a deal really. It's just that, he found that he gained more experience whenever he used his skills in active scenarios.

Of course, the shadow clone method is effective as well, but as Kayn observed, nothing beats the live practice.

And that's what he plans to do just now.
