CHANCE ENCOUNTER

Su QianQian walked out of the meeting room followed by a few executives. She stood at hallway said a few words to them then walked into to her office with her secretary Xio Wei following her in to the office. " Miss Su, Qin Si refused to sign the contract." Xiao Wei reported.

Furrowing her brows QianQian turned her seat towards her " why is that? We clearly discussed the contract with them yesterday and they promised to send the signed copy today. Did they give you a reason why?

" No reason was given. They only sent an email saying that they want to reconsider it"

" That old Qin, he is still a sly fox. Am sure they want to ask for more benefits from us before we sign the contract. They know that we are in need of there products and want to take advantage of it. Unfortunately we won't compromise" , she turned to face her computer " compile a list of similar factories that produces similar products and send it to me before the end of the day. We need to find new suppliers and get rid of all this old foxes like Mr Qin"

" Yes ," leaves the office

" What a sly old man" she said rubbing her temples and leaning in her seat. Her phone ringed, she picked it up, seeing who was calling she smiled "Hello"

"Su QianQian! You promised to come pick me up at the airport today" Ruan shouted through the phone.

" Ah! I forgot about it. Am really sorry RuanRuan. When was you flight?" asked QianQian checking her watch

" I already arrived. My parents sent the driver to pick me up. But you still have to make it up to me. RuanRuan sulked

" Yeah sure. Let's have dinner together tonight my treat" QianQian consoled her

She was in the wrong and admitting it would save her some trouble. Given RuanRuan's personality if she didn't make up for it, she would keep sulking.

"Choose any place you want to eat then send me the address and time. Is that okay?" QianQian asked.

" Sure that's no problem. But you have to keep your word and don't complain if I eat too much" RuanRuan replied excitedly "okay go back to work see later" she hanged up the phone.

QianQian kept the phone aside and picked up the documents to read when her assistant walked in with a file. "Miss Su,this is from the finance department" she said putting it on the table. QianQian picked up the file and goes through it then sets it aside. She looked up from the document facing her assistant. " I believe you know that Qin Si refused to sign the contract" she said tapping the table with her index finger "what do you think about this?"

"I think that Qin Si is trying to take advantage of us and we shouldn't compromise with them" replied the assistant

" Great, that's what I was thinking. So I want you to work with Xiao Wan and help her compile a list of similar factories that produces this product and send it to me tonight. I'll leave work early today, am having dinner with Ruan "

"Do you want me to drive you there?" asked the assistant

" No you stay and work on what I have assigned you. I'll drive myself there. " She turned her computer off and picked her blazer from her seat and handbag then walked out of her office followed by her assistant.

At Cloud Place Restaurant

QianQian walked into the restaurant and went to the reception " Hello, is there a reservation for a Miss Ruan? "The receptionist checked her computer and called a waiter to help her. " Yes Miss please follow this waiter, he'll show you there" QianQian followed the waiter to a private box and walked inside. RuanRuan sprinted out of her seat and hugged her enthusiastically .

"You look so sexy, I didn't expect my cute RuanRuan to turn into a sexy woman after a few years of staying abroad. You tell me how did this happen?" QianQian asked teasing Ruan.

" Do I look very sexy? Sexy enough to smitten you? "

" No Ruan I don't swing that way. But with you here looking like this am not so confident in myself" they both laughed

The waiter entered as the ladies were still l clinging to each other. He served the dishes each which were their signature dishes and walked out.

" Am hungry, let's eat" QianQian said and they both walked to the table. Picking her chop sticks, she picks a piece of braised pork chops and puts it in her bowl.

RuanRuan stuffed a big piece of dumplings into her mouth and happily chewed on it. She added a few meat dishes then sighed happily " I really missed the taste of this food" she said happily munching on her food. She then picked a chicken wing bites on it.

QianQian laughed helplessly "slow down Ruan the food isn't going away". She handed her a serviette. " I just can't help it" Ruan responded " I really missed this food. "

"Okay fine. Eat as much as you want"

" By the way QianQian, it's been a year since you took over the company,you look so cool in official outfits."

" All you see is me being cool but you don't know how hectic this job can be!" she sighed" but am glad I can help my dad with the work"

" Yeah, Uncle Su was always busy with work that he forgot about his health. How is he doing now? What is he up to lately" Ruan asked munching on her chicken wing.

Hearing about her father, QianQian's lips twitched. She took a glass of water and drank it. " He is fine, his health has improved a lot"

After eating the two ladies walked out of the restaurant together. Ruan stoped walking and turned to look at her. " QianQian I know you are busy right now so when you are done with the project you are working on can we go shopping together? I really missed hanging out with you."

" Of course. I will keep you company on your shopping spree after I finish my business" she replied. " Your car is here"

"Okay Qian, I'll get going. Drive safely and text me when you get home." She walked to the car and it drove way.

Driving out of the restaurant gates she collided with a cyclist. Shocked she quickly got out of the car and to check on the cyclist. " Are you okay? Did you get hurt anywhere?"
