DON'T LET HIM KNOW

Siqing woke up to his loud alarm. He groggily sat on the bed then turned off his alarm. He got off the bed and walked to the window opening the curtains. He yawned and stretched himself feeling refreshed after sleeping early last night.

Looking at the beautiful sunlight he wished he could sunbathe in it for a while but he had urgent things to do and Su QianQian's breakfast was one of them.He quickly freshened up and went into the kitchen to make breakfast but he stopped in his tracks. He was surprised to find breakfast already on the dinning table.

He walked in to the kitchen and noticed that the dishes had been washed and the kitchen was already cleaned. Surprised he went upstairs to look for QianQian. Entering the room he saw the well spread out bed as if it hadn't been used through out the night. The bathroom was also clean and her wardrobe was still in order just like he arranged it yesterday.

He went to the study but she wasn't there. The books and documents were well organized. He then remembered her words from yesterday "don't overwork yourself". Seeing how clean and organized the house was he suddenly laughed.

"She actually cleaned everything just for him to take a break today" he felt so happy. She cared about him and it felt so good to be cared for.

He took out his phone and texted her

[Hey are you busy?] He asked

[No. Just finished the morning meeting.

What's up?] She asked

[ Did you clean the house before going to work?] He asked

[Yeah. I have to help out sometime. I can't leave all the work to you when we both live in that house] she said with as a matter of fact attitude.

[ Thanks for helping, but next time don't wake up too early. Just leave everything to me I can manage it]

" Okay. I'll talk to you later, I have something to do" she texted back putting her phone aside. She had woken up so early today so that she could help with cleaning the house. She had been running up and down the house for an hour before driving to work. Sitting in her office she felt so exhausted and drowsy.

"House chores are really tiring" she thought. She walked to the lounge in her office yawning and laid down to rest. She needed to take a power nap to boost her energy in order to be able to work effectively later. She pulled up her little blanket covered herself and slept for half an hour.

Waking up she called Li Wei and asked her to prepare a strong cup of coffee. She needed something strong to wake her up completely.

Li Wei walked in with a cup of coffee and some cookies and she was surprised to find her seated in the lounge looking sleepy.

This was the first time she had seen Su QianQian drowsy in the office. Worriedly she quicken her steps and placed the coffee on the table.

"Miss Su, are you feeling unwell?" She asked

" No. I just fell asleep. I didn't get enough sleep last night" she said taking a sip of the coffee " Li Wei help me look for a house help. I need one urgently."

She had to find a person to help with the house chores or else both her and Siqing will die from exhaustion. She had been thinking about it all night and she decided to let him cook dinner since he liked cooking but as for other things a house help would do them.

"Do you have any specific requirements for the house help?" Li Wei asked. She knew the kind of person her boss was and needed to consult with with in order to meet all her needs. That's what she was paid to do as her personal assistant.

" No. Just find one that is reliable and experienced. Preferably a middle aged woman. Find one as soon as possible. Other things can wait but this is important. I need her to report to work tomorrow morning"

" Okay Miss Su. I'll get to it" she said and walked out of the office. She quickly got to work and arranged for a new house help who she found suitable .

In the evening when QianQian returned home she was welcomed by the aroma of food. She entered the dining room and found a few home made dishes on the table. There were plates of delicious and colorful dishes neatly arranged on the dinning table.

Looking at the exquisite handy work of Lu Siqing, she didn't need anyone to tell her how delicious the food was. She quickly washed her hands and settled down at the table waiting for him to join her. He walked in with a bowl of lotus soup and placed it on the table. "Here is the final dish. Let's eat" he said.

She took a bowl of rice and started eating. She picked the vegetables and stuffed them into her mouth. She squinted her little eyes at how amazing they tasted. She had to give it to this guy he was really talented in cooking.

As she was about to pick a prawn, Siqing stopped her and handed her one. "It's troublesome to peel prawns. Let me peel them for you" he said as he picked a few more prawns peeled them and placed them into her bowl.

He did the same with the lobster and soon her bowl was overflowing with food.

She looked at her plate and laughed "Siqing are you trying to make me fat? How am I supposed to finish all this food" she asked

Looking at her overflowing bowl Lu Siqing laughed awkwardly. He had been so immersed in peeling the prawns and lobsters for her that he did not notice that her bowl was already full.

" Let's share" QianQian said placing prawns into his bowl. I won't finish all this on my own". After sharing the food she started eating her food enjoying the delicious taste.

During dinner she kept glancing at him and she noticed that he didn't look as exhausted as before. Suddenly she didn't regret her decision to wake up early that morning. Plus getting to eat this delicacy already made her decision worth it

After dinner Siqing picked the bowls and took them to the kitchen preparing to wash them. Su QianQian followed behind him and leaned on to the wall. "There is no need to wash them. Someone will be here to wash them tomorrow morning. We'll have have a new house help starting tomorrow"

" Why do we suddenly need a house help? Aren't I handling the work well" he asked looking aggrieved. He always tried his best to do all the house chores and he was comfortable doing them.

"Siqing, you are my guest not my employee. I don't let you stay here so that you can do the house work for me. You are not a worker and I won't take advantage of your ability to do house work to exploit you." she said looking at him seriously.

She already considered him as a friend and she wasn't the type of person to exploit her friends or other people.

" What if I were your roommate? Would you let me do it? I really want to help around the house"

" You want to be my roommate?" She asked laughing. She found Lu Siqing's line of thought funny. Why would he want to be her roommate when they were already living together?

"Of course. I like spending time with you and I also like cooking for you. I just like doing things for you" he said smiling sweetly.

I like you and just want to be close to you he added silently in his heart not daring to say it out loud.

Suddenly QianQian felt a sense of crisis. Why was he talking like that? He wasn't implying something right? No she was overthinking it. It was just him showing and expressing his gratitude to her

"Fine, from today you'll be my roommate but that doesn't mean that you can do the chores. The house work is where I draw the line you can cook but the rest leave it to the house help" she said looking at him with a very serious expression with no sign of her previous smile.

She had to make him understand her or else this mischievous boy would start doing house work sneakily.

"So can I permanently move in with you" ?he asked feeling excited. He was finally making progress. If he could move in with her then he would be a step closer to making her fall in love with him.

"Yes. Move in any day you want." She said walking away "am exhausted see you tomorrow"

Watching her leave he felt so happy and his lips curved into a smile. He was finally moving in with QianQian. "Goodnight QianQian" he shouted at her.
