Chapter 06: Demon Technique

The next morning, in the quiet dawn, Li Wei was already in Zhao Ling's courtyard. He sat cross-legged under the large tree that radiated spiritual aura, meditating with full concentration.

The cool, fresh morning air was soothing, while the gentle rustling of the leaves added to the peaceful atmosphere. The abundant spiritual aura in the place caused the qi in Li Wei's body to increase rapidly, filling every corner of his being.

Zhao Ling came out of the house to see his pupil up early for training. He smiled contentedly, proud of Li Wei's dedication. Zhao Ling sat in a wooden chair on the veranda, with a teapot and porcelain cups. He was enjoying the quiet morning, pouring fragrant herbal tea into his cup.

The aroma of the herbal tea reached Li Wei's nose, tempting him to interrupt his meditation. He opened his eyes to see his master sitting comfortably, enjoying his tea. Zhao Ling noticed that his student had stopped meditating and waved his hand.

"Li Wei, come and have some tea with me," Zhao Ling called softly.

Li Wei got up and walked over to the chair next to Zhao Ling. He sat down respectfully. Zhao Ling lifted the teapot, a golden aura emanating from her hand, and gracefully poured tea into Li Wei's cup. The teapot moved slowly and elegantly, as if guided by an invisible hand.

"This tea will help you relax and refresh your mind." Zhao Ling said with a warm smile.

Li Wei took the tea, feeling the warmth of the cup in his hands. He inhaled the scent of the tea before taking a sip. The warm, smooth taste spread in his mouth, bringing comfort and tranquillity.

"This tea contains spiritual aura. It's amazing." Li Wei thought as he looked at Zhao Ling.

Li Wei nodded, understanding the meaning of his master's words. He felt fortunate to have a teacher like Zhao Ling, who was not only powerful but also wise. They enjoyed their tea together in peaceful silence.

After a while, Zhao Ling took a book from his robe and handed it to Li Wei. "Here, Li Wei. I write this during our journey," he said.

Li Wei took the book and read the title, "Demon Arts". He was surprised that his master, an Immortal Arts Cultivator, could write a book on Demon Arts. This showed the depth of Zhao Ling's knowledge and skills.

Li Wei opened the book and saw Zhao Ling's messy handwriting. He held back a laugh and bravely said, "Master, your handwriting is terrible. How can I read it clearly? Maybe you should improve your penmanship first."

Zhao Ling was a little embarrassed by his student's teasing. "Yes, I'm not good at writing neatly," Zhao Ling said with a wry smile. "But what counts is the content. In this book, I've written the breathing technique you use, but in a more refined version. Since you only imitated it, the results weren't optimal."

Zhao Ling continued, "I have also included some basic Demon Arts techniques. Once you master them, I'll write intermediate techniques for you."

Li Wei nodded, feeling enthusiastic and excited. After finishing their tea, Li Wei sat down and began to read the book. Despite the difficult handwriting, he was able to understand the contents. Each page detailed Demon Arts techniques, complete with explanations and names.

Li Wei immediately tried the breathing technique described in the book. He sat cross-legged and began to meditate, following his master's instructions. With each breath, he felt his effectiveness increase. Li Wei himself was surprised by the changes he felt.

"Wow, this is really effective," Li Wei thought in amazement. He continued his training with renewed enthusiasm.

"Thank you, Master," Li Wei said sincerely. "This tea is delicious."

Zhao Ling smiled and nodded. "Good. Remember, Li Wei, in the world of cultivation, we must balance training and rest. Only then can we reach our full potential."

Zhao Ling, watching from a distance, was also surprised. "Amazing, he can grasp the breathing technique in just a few minutes," he thought. Zhao Ling felt proud and increasingly confident in Li Wei's potential.

The day passed as Li Wei continued to train and study the techniques in the book. Zhao Ling, though seemingly relaxed, kept a close eye on his pupil's progress.

The next morning, sunlight slowly filtered through the leaves of the large tree in the courtyard. The fresh morning air carried the scent of damp earth and dew still clinging to the grass. Birds chirped, enlivening the serene and peaceful atmosphere.

Li Wei sat cross-legged under the large tree, quietly meditating. The rich spiritual aura flowed intensely into his body, strengthening his qi. He waited for his master to come out because he had something to ask.

After a few hours of meditation, Li Wei felt his master's presence. Zhao Ling came out of the house and sat in his usual wooden chair, holding a book and writing quietly.

Li Wei opened his eyes, stood up and walked over to his master. "Master, I have a question," Li Wei said, his voice full of curiosity.

Zhao Ling looked up from his book and looked at Li Wei. "Of course, what do you want to ask?"

Li Wei sat nearby and said, "I've been in the world of cultivators for a while, but I still don't know anything about the realms or power levels of cultivators in this mortal world."

Li Wei meant that as a cultivator, he should at least know the power levels in this world.

Zhao Ling nodded in understanding. "Alright, there are 13 realms you need to know about in the lower realm. Each realm has its own level and represents a cultivator's strength and ability. There are 10 more realms in the upper realm and only 8 in the immortal realm, but for now I'll explain the realms in the lower realm."

Note: The Lower and Upper Realms are still part of the Mortal World.

1. Qi Gathering

2. Body Refinement

3. Foundation Establishment

4. Energy Transformation

5. Elemental Control

6. Core Realm: Within this realm, there are several core colours:

-Red Core

-Green Core

-Blue Core

-Purple Core

-Golden Core

7. Soul Formation Realm

8. Soul Realm: In this realm, there are three stages:

-Wandering Soul Realm

-Nascent Soul Realm

-Condensing Soul Realm

9. Return to Void

10. Body Integration

11. Tribulation

12. Dao Seeking

13. Divine Realm

Li Wei listened intently as Zhao Ling explained each realm.

"Each realm has sub-levels: early, middle, late and peak." Zhao Ling's explanation of the realms ended.

"In the Soul Realm, why are there three more levels? There seem to be 15 realms rather than 13. That is if you count the three levels of the Soul Realm." Li Wei thought, but he didn't ask about that, he asked about the lower realm.

Li Wei asked again, "Master, I want to know more about the Core Realm."

Zhao Ling smiled and continued his explanation. "The Core Realm is one of the most important realms in cultivation. It is divided into five colours: red, green, blue, purple and gold. Gold is the highest among them. A cultivator with a golden core has greater potential for the future and is considered to be exceptionally talented."

Li Wei became more interested and asked, "How do you get a Golden Core, Master?"

Zhao Ling replied briefly but firmly, "Your talent and potential. Only those with exceptional talent and high potential can achieve a Golden Core."

Li Wei thought about his master's words. Li Wei had a method worth trying to obtain a Golden Core.

"Heheh..." Li Wei chuckled softly.
