Momyung vs Ahjin
The goalkeeper ran out of his box to grab hold of the ball, he threw himself to the ground to put his palm over it but just before his palm touched the ball, a feet kicked the ball slightly past his palm. The a figure ran past him with the ball, he looked up to get a good look at this figure and Sung Min. His eyes widened in shock as he watched Sung Min kick the ball into the unguarded goalpost.
"How did he get here?!"
Half of the players in the pitch erupted in cheers while the other half watched in dismay.
"How did he get here before you two?!" The goalkeeper yelled at both of his center backs.
"We are as surprised as you man," one of the center backs replied, "besides, you were closer to the ball, how did he get there before you?"
The commentator's voice was the loudest in the pitch, "Lee Sung Min, getting past more than half of Ahjin team to score, this is a stuff of legend."
Movement of the second defender created a space in between the two center backs, and Sung Min, with great pace, exploited this little space.
"Celebrate your goal you idiot!" Horata yelled at Sung Min who was walking back to his half with the ball in his arm for play to restart.
'I forgot about that...'
"That was a beautiful goal," Tae Hyun congratulated him as he dropped the ball at the center of the pitch.
"Momyung might finally be able to get their first win of the season today!" Tanaka the second commentator said.
The game restarted and Ahjin instantly pushed the ball forward, in desperate need of a goal they attacked Momyung fiercely from all sides. Their closest attack, a desperate shot from outside the box, although the ball was heading wide, a touch by the captains leg redirected the ball toward the post. The goalkeeper who was already going the other way stood and watched as the ball hit the woodwork. Cho Hyun the second center back got to the ball first and shot it up the sky with all the force he could muster.
The ball fell into the opponents half, and because all of them was in Momyung's half, no one could get to the ball immediately, so a race to the ball began.
The closest to the center line was Horata, but there was also a defender on him. The two began to run for the ball, and after some seconds, the defender was ahead. The defender happy that he is getting to the ball first was left in a state of shock when a figure blew past him, Sung Min, moving swiftly like the wind he got to the ball first and raced with it to the 18 yard box.
Horata stopped running, but the defender continued to run, and with each second that passed, the greater the gap between him and Sung Min became.
With the blink of an eye, Sung Min was already face to face with the goalkeeper. He then placed the ball right past the goalkeeper and into the back of the net.
"Goallll!!!" His teamates shouted.
"What a finish by Lee Sung Min, extending their win by 3 goals to nothing!" Ji Hoon yelled out.
Sung Min grabbed the ball from inside the net, turned around to see his teamates running towards him.
"Celebrate your goal, idiot!" Horata yelled as they all jumped on him.
After the play restarted, Ahjin became more careful and didn't push the ball forward.
The passed the ball between each other, hoping to find an opening between Momyung's line to exploit.
Momyung's formation of four defenders and two defensive midfielder had no cracks. They shut Ahjin out completely until the 43rd minute when Seo Jin intercepted a pass meant for Ahjin's striker. He then passed the ball to Tae Hyun, but someone intercepted the ball before it got to Tae Hyun and sent it to Sung Min instead. At the right wing, Sung Min pushed the ball forward making a run with it. An opposing midfielder tracked back for him while the right wing back stood stoic in his wing. Waiting for Sung Min to bring the ball to him, and Sung Min did just that, but all he could do was look as Sung Min kick the ball to his left, while he ran by him through his right.
Sung Min converged with the ball inches behind the right wing back and stormed into the penalty box with the ball. The right center back ran to tackle the ball off him, leaving just one man with Horata.
Sung Min then passed the ball to Horata to finish and he kicked the ball straight into the goal keeper's glove. The goal keeper then guided the ball away from the goal post and out of bounds.
"Fucccckk I missed that!!" Horata slammed his hand on the ground in frustration.
"That was a nice pass," Seo Jin said to Sung Min as they gathered around in the penalty box for the corner kick.
Tae Hyun delivered the corner kick, sending the ball into the sky to the penalty box. It flew over some players and then landed on Sung Min's head who redirected the ball to the back of the net.
"A goal!!!"
"Sung Min has just completed the first hattrick of his career!!!" Ji Hoon yelled out in ecstasy.
His teamates gathered around to hug him for the goal.
"What we are witnessing today is a total destruction of Ahjin fc, Momyung now playing like a totally different team." Tanaka said, impressed.
Immidiately the play restarted, the referee blew his whistle for half time.
"What have you done coach, we seem unstoppable today!!" Tae Hyin asked in amazement as they gathered in the locker room for the team talk while resting.
"It's not the coach really, it's Sung Min, he is everywhere on the pitch today." Horata replied.
"The reason he is everywhere is because of the coach." The captain said in her defence.
"You all have played well, and that is why we are winning: Kim Na Na began, "but the match is still far from over, and I want us to send a message to the world today."
"What message?" Horata asked.
"We are coming for the top." Kim Na Na replied.
"Coach," Min Ho said with his hand up, everyone turned to him and realised he was sweating buckets. His Jersey was so drenched you'd think he just went swimming.
"You didn't even play today, why are you sweating?" Horata asked.
"I think he played... I saw him at the beginning." Tae Hyun added.
Slowly a debate began on whether Min Ho was actually in the game. With most swearing that they didn't see him, while the others swore other wise.
"Can you sub me out?" Min Ho said to Kim Na Na amidst the argument, "I am exhausted."
Everyone stopped the argument and looked on in surprise, he had been playing, yet most didn't notice.
'I underestimated the toll that the role will have on him,' Kim Na Na said to herself, "I will sub you out now. Get some rest, I am proud of your performance."
"Thank you coach."
