Aphrodite pulled back just enough to glare at me, her lower lip jutting out in a pout that would have fooled anyone who didn't know her better. "Three years, Hades. Three! Do you have any idea how worried I was?"
I raised an eyebrow and suppressed a laugh. "Worried? Or bored?"
She huffed, smacking my chest before stepping back, her hands on her hips. "A bit of both! Do you know how long it took for people to stop looking at me like I had answers every time they asked where you ran off to? And Hermes! Hermes was unbearable!"
At the mention of the messenger god, I exhaled through my nose. "Let me guess— he turned my disappearance into some grand mystery?"
