Daji's response to Wukong is sharp. "Now, now, let's not prejudge."
"Unbelievable," Wukong fumes. "You know perfectly well--"
From Daji's stricken look, she's completely in the dark. "Wukong, I don't know what happened between you and Wendigo Will--"
"Oh, you don't?" Wukong bares his sharp teeth. "Fine aunt you are."
Athena scoffs. "It would take an army of aunts to know all the mischief you've gotten up to, Wukong. And Daji has always been your strongest defender."
My eyes narrow at Wendigo Will. "Eating our enemies is OK. Keeping secrets, especially about a valued member of our senior management, is not. Whatever happened between you two in the past, I want to know right now. Tell us all."
Wukong bristles, brandishing his staff. "It doesn't matter. He can stay here, but he is NOT allowed near this committee."
Will scoffs. "He is the sorest loser at cards."
The fur on Daji's ears puffs out. "CARDS? That's what this is about?"
